I think If you call Cassette (I think) they can sell them and I heard the first ones are around $1500 and the new updated ones are anywhere from $2700-3000. And I doubt that the price is going to go down any significant amount.

punkkid595, DavidHoff, 03Belmont, colefooter, I am looking at producing an alternative to the ReWind winch, if any of you are interested, check out the Winch Epiphany tpoic in General on wakeskating.com that should bring you up to speed

punkkid595, DavidHoff, 03Belmont, colefooter, ... Kento will have the best winch out there when it's done. He's been innovating on this idea for a while and has taken the flaws of the ReWind winch, and fixed them to be better and less expensive. If any of you are serious about gettin a winch, get kento's

logistically, if this thing only has 300 ft of line, at 20mph you're going to have only about 10 seconds of riding time. my math could be wrong though.

[NOT LEGAL ADVICE:] you can search for patents yourself through uspto.gov. what's important is that not all patents are published. also, a patent application only costs $30--it's the lawyer fees that add up. while it's not necessary to have a lawyer, it does increase the possibility that it will actually be granted, valid, and enforceable. depending on how this thing came about, they might still be able to patent it even if they haven't filed yet. this is definitely something you want to talk to your counsel about. specifically, ask him/her about 102(b).

aceyx, sounds pretty close mathematically, Im pretty sure all patents have to be published, they even let you search the applications now, thanks or the help

I have been boot-free for over 5 months now and I've never felt better. One time, I felt the urge to strap in and bust a gnarly mobe, then my sponsor came over and we talked and everything turned out OK Wink
