|
|
i'm looking at getting a good tripod for my Cannon GL-2. Other than height of tripod, most tripods seem to be equal. Can anyone make some recommendations for me? i'm looking to spend $200-$400. _________________ 1989 Supra Comp TS6M, 06 GLI for haulin'.

| I have never bought one so I don't know brand names, but I have worked with many nice tripods at work. You will definately want a quick release, and the best kind have a slide mount. This allows you to adjust how far forward or back you set the camera so it is balanced. You will also want a fluid head for smooth pan and tilt. |

Spend the $ on the head which is critical for smooth operation with video. My advice would be to find the best local camera store you can and go check them all out. _________________ Rich Dykmans |

| I second the Bogen / Manfrotto - it'll last you the rest of your life. |

get the 501 head if you can afford it.
my bogen has treated me well. ive had it for around 10 years and havent had a single problem or complaint with it. _________________ www.TheLiquidPlayground.com
