ok so the bi leve lis out..... and it looks wierd (in my opinion), what would happen if you took off the bottom piece of wood and just rode the top?

It would seem to me that it would ride like a crappy regular concave... it would probably be very slow in the water because of the bends.

it would ride like s#!+. kinda like trying to ride a regular skate deck. why would you even want to do that?

now if you grip tape the bottom part and try that it could be a different story, but i have never even seen a bi level in person so i have no idea

the first time i saw the origional picture like 3 months ago, i thought the "top half" was the bi-level. i thought they put it ontop of a normal board to compare the differences. i didnt know they were attached until i saw a video of someone riding it. i probably sound like an idiot now... haha

you wouldnt be able to cut at all with it. see how the edges are curved (concaved)? yeah uhh that wouldnt be so good for edging, especially for those of you who ride finless...

oh yeah, and putting griptape on the bottom of it wouldnt do anything.

It would work because I'm pretty sure that the bottom deck is just a normal concave board.

actually i think its more like a normal flat deck, but yah i think it would work pretty well.

beasoldierprstn, I thought they were comparing them until this thread lol. i dont pay much attention to that kinda stuff. but then it makes sense because its the BI-level bi means 2 so yeah Confused

WHY dont you just by a regural skate if you only want the top deck . It would ride right becasue of all the concave.
