Yup, you sure can. The higher towpoint really helps more with hangtime in the air, and not so much with the height gotten, although it may affect it a little bit.

Yea, Definitely. Towers don't effect how high or how far you get on your jumps, they just serve as a high tow point which will give you more hang time. Rather than being pulled down in the air, the tower allows you to stay up longer, but this has no effect on your maximum height or distance, just the amount of time your in the air.

but lets think about the logic.....

im not being a smartass but im curious.

if you edge just like u did before u had a tower (but now u do) and you are popped off the wake traveling the same speed you always do. wouldnt being in the air longer increase your distance which would make it easier to do W2W?????

Blindside_137, That would seem to make sense. The tower would allow you to stay in the air longer and pull you down like it would from being pulled by the tow eye.

I've seen guys riding behind a bowrider doing big W2W jumps and 360's without a tower or pylon. So it's possible. You just need to find the right technique.

i never said it wasnt possible, what im saying is that a tower doesnt only increase hang time but it also increases distance

lol, a tower would improve your distance and hang time. i think it improves air too as i rode behind an x-2 with a tower and went really high but that could be cause of the wake

I learned to wakeboard without a tower, and I've seen major things done on boats without towers. Totally possible!

Get It any time you want. It's never going to hold you back, only going to help you advance somewhat. It's up to you to get great a riding, but ballast and a tower is a small step there. If You can do it now, then I say go ahead and do it!

I have seen less talented people try to land inverts w/o a tower. I just laugh at them.

Yous spoiled guys!
man, here where i live having an INBOARD motor is like having a ferarri.
I wakeboard behind an 18ft bowrider with a 1,15mt pylon and i can do w2w jumps easily. And the saddest thing is that this will be the only boat ill ride for long long LONG time!!!

Definetily!!! Here is a picture of my wake(its a little crooked and both are bad quality because I grabbed them out of a video) and my friend jumping it. My friend was about 6 feet up above the second wake! He has a very interesting technique. He cuts EXTREMELY hard (like harder than randy harris) and then backs off at the transition and the pops with the board flat. It must work tho cuz he gets the most air outta anybody behind my boat. I dont get quite this much air but it is possible just gotta cut harder IMO.
