Buy.com had a $10 off special so I used it to pick up a SanDisk 1GB Ultra II CF card for $77, $83.16 shipped with tax. It's amazing how much memory card prices have come down! Even a 2GB Ultra II CF is only $179. I'm considering picking up a 1GB or 2GB SD card since my camera has slots for both and the SD is much faster.
I also picked up a Belkin car charger for my iPod that has a headphone jack built into it. Since my head unit has an aux input I just plug the cable right into the jack in 12v adapter. The sound is better since it's not going thru the iPod's internal amp. Pefect for those long road trips to Mammoth. |

I just paid $99 for my 1gb Sandisk REGULAR CF card at staples about a month ago. It used to cost $250 for a ripped hitachi md, now you can get the for $120 or so, and thats 4GB! _________________

The Rio Carbon has a 5 gig Seagate Microdrive which can be used as a CF device also. Haven't seen any tests of it yet. I'm like Bill though, I like the Sandisk Ultra II's. I left one in my shorts pocket which went through the washer and dryer; not only did it survive it still had the pictures on it! That's not going to work with a Microdrive. _________________ Rich Dykmans |

The Rio's do work, I bought one for my A2 but I broke it, stupid me.
It doesnt work quite right in the Ax's but it works fine in almost everything else. _________________

Liquid*Force*Rider, not eBay, Buy.com.
I want the highest transfer rate possible for shooting sequence shots so I avoid microdrives even though my camera can buffer 40 jpeg shots. |
