Does anyone have any opinions or experience with this style of tower or one similar? Just bought one identical to the Joystick for only $335, plus it came with speakers. Not going to install it until spring weather arrives, but wanted to know if anyone had anything to say about it. Thanks

It looks great. And since you already bought it, you probably won't go out and buy a Monster or Joystick.

As long as the mounting points are connected to the boat correctly, you shouldn't have too much trouble. Just make sure your fiberglass is at least 3/8" thick, if not, you should reinforce it. Because the added weight of the speakers will increase the moment (or sway) in the tower.

And great deal for $335 as long as the quality is good.

Given that hiett has already bought the tower in question that was a really dumb remark Shocked

How would you like it if, after having spent your $995 on a MonsterTower, someone said you should have bought a Boss for $2500 'cos it looks nicer?!

Don't you think the cost/appearance equation featured in the decision?

Get a life, please.

Wasn't aware that I needed one - I've already grown up and realise that slagging off someone's recent purchase is not a smart thing to do.

Compare and contrast 89 skier's input for an "adult" comment.

If you feel the need to put a 14-year-old kid in his place and tell him to get a life, I guess that's your business.

Since when is a 14 year old smart? I'm sure most adults who read his remark simply shook their collective heads and reminded themselves of the arrogance and impetuousness of youth.

Forgive me, but I don't see a big banner on every post saying "Warning - forgive this crap - I'm just a kid". I don't go searching into contibutor's profiles before responding to a post.

And how do we learn if it's not from making mistakes and being told about them? If you are allowed to go through life saying and doing what you want, you'll cease to be a forgivable kid and end up being an obnoxious adult.

"And how do we learn if it's not from making mistakes and being told about them?"

He already was told about it - politely, by 89 skier.

"I don't go searching into contibutor's profiles before responding to a post."

You might want to give that a try.
