Would you ever date a plus size chick????

Ok we had this conversation here at work and I wanted to get everyone's take on it. From my point of view if I was attracted to a girl then I would date her. But I would have to be physicly attracted to her and I'm not really attracted to a chick that weighs more than I or does not care about her health. All of the girls said that is superfical, so I asked them if they would ever date a guy that is a lot shorter than they are. Most said no way, they would not feel comfy doing that..... I see that as being exactly how I felt about dating a "healthy" chick. They saw it differently. What do you all say???

I don't think being plus sized has anything to do with being "healthy". Granted that some people are careless, but beacuse they are bigger doen'st mean they don't take care of their bodies and are unhealthy. Very Happy

Some people just have those bigger body types. As far as dating a plus sized girl goes, its just your preference. I know some larger girls that are gorgeous and have the personality to go along with it.

Personally I don't think I could. I guess I am just shallow in that sense. I have dated girls that wiegh more then me. I don't have a problem with that, but I have to draw the line somewhere. But I love how 85%-90% of pregeant women look so I dont know what my problems is.

The added bonus to dating a "healthy" woman is ballast. Have her bring a few of her "healthy" friends along and you won't need to wory about fat sacs

They are saying the same exact thing you are by stating "not if he is shorter than me, that would feel odd". How odd would it feel to have a fat chick laying on you?

I love how standards apply differently to different people, we are pigs for thinking that way. Women spend their entire life searching for that perfect partner and think nothing about it (normal?). Ultimately women have the final say on who their partner is going to be, men just sit around and wait to be selected. Don't get me wrong we can pursue i.e. wine and dine till it kills us but ultimately it's still not our decision. We go after the ones we want and out of that group we only get the one that wants us, just a fact of life for a guy.

Notice how women don't like the sayn' "if the shoe fits wear it" they only want the cool looking shoe that everyone else wants. Once they get that desirable pair of shoes and they don't fit right they will put up with blisters for months until they are broken in, this is usually around the time they are looking for a NEW pair of cool shoes. (shoes = male analogy)

CHICKS ARE FUNNY LIKE THAT.

hahahaha... I like the shoe methaphor. Like I said, if I'm not attarcted to it then I wont date/ bang/ take out/ make love/ or have freaky- deaky sex with. I think there is a double standard in the majority of girls out there, not ALL, but most. If they find what they are "looking for", i.e. nice, kind, treats me well, etc but has some flaw such as too short, not enough $$$, then they would rather go fo the ass that could care less. But we are pigs if we don't flirt or take out the "friend with a great personality" who "makes us all laugh". "So is she hot?"- "She has a great personality"- "cool, but is she attractive"- "She is so funny"....

I think women are just as superficial as men, sometimes more so. I will date what I am attracted to, but I am a really athletic person and usually dont like being around people who dont take care of their bodies, not meaning that overweight people dont do that, its just that I would be more likely to be attracted to skinnier women.

I am what many consider to be a healthy girl. I would hope someone would want to date me because of my charming personality and not mind or even care that I am not skin and bones. If not, I guess my fate will be to remain single forever and live alone with cats.

I for one have dated many guys who were shorter then me. I don't care how tall a guy is. If our personalities click, we have important stuff in common and I am somewhat attracted to him then it is all good.

I was called shallow bcause I wouldn't date a guy who didn't wakeboard. So be it....

When I met my girlfriend she was overweight, not fat or obese, but overweight. She had to have surgery on her knee not too long before I met her, so she wasn't able to work out as hard as she wanted to for like a year or 2 before we met. Not too long after we first met (like 2nd date or so), I learned the true story, so that added a lot of credibility to her.

Since that time (over 2 years now), she's lost a lot of weight, become a personal trainer at a gym, and looks awesome.

If I would have not gone out with her in the beginning, I wouldn't have a great loving, caring girlfriend now...

For the record tho, I wouldn't date a obese chick either... you have to take care of your body, and even "big boned" people don't have to be obese.

I would date a plus size girl. I never have before, but I have had, um, relations with a few girls who weren't exactly runway models. But they were toned, though, not flabby-fat, know what I mean?

Chances are that if a chick is just fat, then she probably doesn't lead the type of lifestyle or have the attitudes that I find attractive.

The bigger girls that I have "known" were friends who were into the things I was, but they were just not petite.

But sure, I'd date any chick who I fell in love with. Or who wanted to buy me dinner. Or who had an inboard ski boat. Or who had a love of oral.

this is kind of funny. I wouldn't date a chick that weighed more than me, and I wouldn't date a chick that was a lot taller than me. I mean c'mon I'm only 135 pounds, she'd crush my little ass. I totally agree with the shoe analogy, and I would date a chick if she wanted to buy me dinner, or if she had a super air. Women are just as superficial as men. hold up now, is "healthy" just a nice way of saying fat? I hope not cuz that's not cool.

I know a lot of skinny girls who (if I were a guy) I would not want to date and don't find attractive. What is attractive about being able to see someone's full rib cage and having pelvic bones being jeered into you?

I guess it is opposite for women. I don't find skinny boys sexy at all. I like guys who have butts and arm muscles. Especially the particular arm muscles you develop from riding three or four times a week. Wink

I agree with cameraboy, chances are with all the sports and athletics i do, a +size girl isnt going to be able to keep up, and thats a big buzzkill for me.

Ive dated less then skinny girls, but they were athletic, softball/volleyball type girls who where thicker then sticks, but toned so well they just looked awesome, i hate hugging a girl and feeling their bones.

But, im superficial,i think alot of people are, YA its whats on the inside that counts, but you gotta look at the outside the whole time dont ya!

Unfortunately, there arnt many that fit my type of requirements, i guess im just picky, but im not gonna lower standards for the sake of having a girlfriend. Specially knowing it wont work from the start.

for one p-chick is not overwieght nor fat. When I saw plus sized I'm referring to someone that has a lot o extra weight. I prefer a big ass, so I go for the volley ball chicks or soccer players. If someone is toned and has a larger frame that is fine. But being 5'6" and 190 would be + sized in my book. I don'care for the coke head look or the 12 year old boy look either. I like girls to be able to have some weight on them as well. I think you have to click on a personal level as well as a physical one. No offense but I think that when this conversation comes up it seems as if a lot of chicks turn in to saints on the subject. because none of them have dated or not dated for shallow reasons... Wink

I will be the first to admit, I have dated guys dumber then rocks only because I thought they were pretty to look at. They never last though. Doesn't mean that those are the only guys I will date. I think the same applies to most men. We are ALL guilty of it.

i don't think i could date a plus sized girl either...i'm not a huge guy (5'9 165) and it woudl just feel wierd to lay in bed with someone heavier than me...i mean i spend 5 days a week at the gym...there is no reason that i can't expect a girl i date to do the same.....if that makes me shallow than so be it...there's alot of girls who won't date a guy unless he has money...so whose the bigger pig??

I treat my body with a lot of respect and I work hard to keep it looking like it does. If I work hard on my body I expect my guy to also. I would not date anyone that didn't care about their body. I like guys that are nice and toned. Like what P-chick was saying. I am 5'3" and weigh 110 and most of that is muscle. I love to work out and run. That is just what I think.

I dont think it really matters how big the girl is just as long as you are attracted to her, or him in a girls case. But anyone that says they can or would date someone because of personality and that alone and calls others shallow is stupid.

I don't date dumb guys all the time. The few that I have dated didn't last long at all. They get boring quick. So I guess I don't handle them well at all. I meet dumb guys on a daily basis. Working at a bar, it is kind of expected.

i think that some people just need to be a lil more open minded when they 'chose' someone to date. tho a physical attraction is necessary - a good personality and sense of humor is a must..
