colorider: I'm jealous of your clips for your p89
If everbody had guns, there'd be LESS crime because people would be to scared to mess with other people in fear of dying. Look at the swiss, just about everybody in that country owns and knows how to shoot guns, and they have an extremely low crime rate.

You can get pre-ban clips at a lot of pawn shops and the internet.
Just FYI.

| I used to carry my 45 and a 38 special darringer, then a cop pulled me over at 3 in the morning and searched my car arrested me and confinscated my guns so I had to go to court and I got put on probation for 6 months but I get my gun back next month so I'm going to go get a concealed weapons permit.

GUNS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING PEOPLE LIKE SPOONS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING ROSIE O'DONNELL FAT!!!!!!!!!
TAKE AWAY GUNS.....THE CRIMINALS WILL USE SOMETHING ELSE.SUPPORT FIREARM EDUCATION/SAFETY!

Guns don't kill people. People with guns kill people.

I'm sh*ttin' myself as well Josh....
I would have liked to see Martin Bryant kill 35 people with another form of weapon. 'Guns don't kill people' - ABSOLUTE BULLSH*T. Does anyone here actually know the percentages of people shot by guns owned by loved ones or themselves? YES there are responsible gun owners, but there are a hell of a lot more people who are irresponsible. We have had this debate before on the old site, (Craig might well remember it, if he were here..) and everyone pretty much kept their cool and expressed their views without resorting to personal insults or stupid point scoring. Lets hope this thread stays as civil.

I've been around guns all my life. My dad and uncle taught me how to respect guns first, shoot them second.
My feelings on the whole no-guns debate is this: Guns are in the world today, from lots of sources, black market, gray market, your local gun shop, your local police station, the military, walmart, etc. Even if there was a total gun ban, there would still be guns out there. The people who are responsible gun owners might turn their guns in if there was a ban. The people who want to kill people and reek havoc won't, it's that simple. A ban isn't what's going to reduce gun-related crime. Tougher and different laws might.
For instance.
A burglar breaks into your house. He's definately in your house searching for something to steal that's worth money. He doesn't have a weapon (this is key). You shoot him.
Ok, at this point there's 2 choices.
1. you shoot him non-fatally. Maybe in the leg, or arm or something.
you go to jail for attempted manslaughter.
he goes to jail for breaking and entering (probably on a lesser sentance)
2. you shoot him fatally.
you go to jail for manslaughter.
3. you do nothing and he takes your stuff.
HE was in YOUR house, and you were defending your property. But you still stuffer.... why?
I would probably choose the unlisted #4 answer
4. you shoot him fatally, take a kitchen knife or something else and put it in his hand. You still get charged with manslaughter, but hopefully the jury will be smart enough to drop the charges.
If a criminal had to think twice before pulling a gun on somebody, it would probably reduce the amount of violent criminals out there.
I'd like to hear the views of the no-guns people though...

i have one pic that describes what a person breaking into my house is gonna see. if he is lucky this isint gonna be the last thing he sees, nobody ever threatenes my family. i am a member of the Ducks Unlimited and National Wildlife Turkey Federation, plus an avad hunter that spends 50% of all my income on hunting trips and gear. Guns have been a part of my life for as long as i can remember, and to everybody that says guns dont kill people,....well they do, thats the harsh reality of the world today, but even without guns, deaths will happen, take september 11th for example. Not one gun was responsible for thousands killed, but a box cutter was? should we outlaw box cutters? i dont think guns should be illigal, just harder to get a hold of. all you have to be is 18 to buy a long gun, thats the same age you have to be to buy a BB gun. there needs to be certification classes you need to pass before you can purchase a gun.
