My experience with Moomba boats has been really good. Nothing negative to say about them at all. My buddy has a 2002 Moomba Mobius and its incredible. It took him some time to dial in the wake(2-400lb sacs on each side of engine, 1-400lb sac in front ski locker, and 1-400lb sack under the back seat) and when we throw 7-8 people in it with gear the wake is amazing. Its nice too because you can take all of that weight out and still ski or barefoot behind it. Its designed to be an economical all-around tournament boat and thats exactly what it is.

All I know about the new Moomba LSV's is that it shares the same hull as as the new Supra Launch 21V(someone correct me if Im wrong). Ive ridden behind a Supra Launch with that same hull with about 1800 lbs of weight and its by far the largest wake Ive ever seen, wake is about the same height as the middle of my thighs. (Im 5'10).

Is moombas lsv really that good? All I know is that malibu lsv doesnt have a big wake at all. And the biggest wake i have ever seen is my own. A malibu wakesetter xti with wedge, 2- 250lbs in back, 1- 500 in middle. and a 1200lbs fat sac couch in the floor of the wrap around seating. and a 540 fat sac in the bow with about 6 people in boat. Wake is up to my waste!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone that comes isnt ready for it and eats s#!t on their first few jumps. Only problem is the boat is ridiculously hard to turn. I really need to get some pics up!!!!!!

So you almost have 3000 lbs. ballast PLUS the wedge? Shocked Lets see some pics of the wake and the interier with all the weight.

when you are comparing a moomba to a SAN and a mastercraft, the moomba is sometimes almost half as much....

Dude My Mastercraft X-9 was around 45k, pretty much loaded too. Its not like the full on wakeboard board but it puts out a nice wake, and a strait up gnarly wake if you load it up.

K-dub, I agree the V-210 wake is off the hook.... I don't think you can compare it to any other boat in that price range.

I think there has been a bit of confusion on what i said about the 21v. I love the boat it was just me and a friend were doubling and when he was cutting out and i tried to jump it white washed. Other than that i loved it. Better looking, better engine, and takes waves better than any other boat i have ridden in. Just needed to add this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There needs to be a special Forum for bashing Moomba's and the people who defend them. I am fairly impartial, I just think its funny how some people spend all there time on these forums defending their Moombas while others start bashing them by the time the Moo in Moomba reaches their eye.

I'm poor and can only afford my cheap 20$ thousand dollar bay liner with a 1000$ tower.........I would be happy with anything other than a bayliner.........but then again I'm happy with my bayliner so I can't really complain... Smile

I rode behind a Malibu VLX for a week. No complaints at all. Especially because my boat is a Boston Whaler Outrage 20'.

The biggest wake I have ever seen and rode was behind a 1986 2001 hull Nautique with 5 guys a phat seat and a bunch of 75 pound weight plates all over the floor.

The thing was thigh high, no joke and had a lip on it the would buck you off axis if your TS edge wasn't solid.
I run a 2000 Team Edition with two fat buddies in the rear compartments and another one up in the bow and it still doesn't compare to that wake.

I bet that sh*t threw you into the flats too! Seeing as how narrow the 2001's are.
