Voting for the Buywake.com Global Rider Search contest ended on October 11, 2004. Winning riders will be announced the week of October 18th. The GRS was the wakeboard industry's first ever, "find the next unknown pro rider" contest.

Wasn't that wakeboarding magazine contest in 1997 the first "find the next unknown pro" contest? The winner was featured on the june 1997 wbm...

Yeah, I don't think the rules were so difficult that many didn't follow them. But I thought I'd bring it up because quite frankly, I'm over these little claims that attempt to make oneself look better than the rest. It's seriously ridiculous. SERIOUSLY!!! Very Happy

And quite frankly, I can totally see where scott a is coming from. It's not fair if others were able to get around the rules by not having two solid minutes of riding (unedited) and still make it to the end. That short changes the guys that DID follow the rules. Things should have been equal and fair all the way through, and when exceptions are made, fairness is no longer existent (at least in this contest because not everyone was able to benefit from said exception).

pooty poo, huh? Gotta love the baby talk... but seriously, scott a has his opinions about this contest, just like you have your opinions and criteria for "coreness." HOLLA!
