Just wondering if anyone that has a boat, has named it. Or plans on naming it?

ours is named Trick, because we did alot of the installation custom work, which turned out to look like a trick to get it to work right, but it looks great.

My friend named his "Nacho Boat" and then my friend's dad named their SAN "for you"... there is a guy here in Austin that we crack on becasue his SAN is named "Pimpin aint easy". Everyone else seems to talk about names for them and never goes through with them.

we don't have a name for our boat. if i had a cool yacht, i'd definitely put a name on that sucker. i'll have to think of something good for when that time comes.

We named are boat although no one refers to it by name so its kind of pointless ? why name it when everyone knows it as "the boat" ?

Bad juju? I'm unfamiliar with that terminology, but I have nothing against naming boats. It's just mine is a piece of crap, so that's what I call it...

Bad juju- its like bad luck or karma. Just another way to imply stigma

None of my friends have "officially" named their boats but when we refer to them we say, yeah we're taking the yellow dragon (which everyone knows is Tony's) or the blue bitch (which everyone knows is Brian's) and my friend Krf't 's get's called either Big pimpin' or gold digger. But nobody has plans to have these names put on their boats. Very Happy

I had WAKE UP on the back of my old boat, I don't think you can actually call that a name but I thought is made sense.

I have not officially put anything on the back of my new boat.
I was thinking of another sayn' like steel the I LOVE HOOCHIES...thing...

My chick told me not to put anything, she said it's a Team Edition and that's that. I tend to agree with her, still not sure though.

PEACE OUT Twisted Evil

I don't have mine named. But, after I blew up my engine, the guy that was towing me in said it was bad luck not to name your boat. I don't know if he was full of $%it or not. I am not a superstitous (sp) person, but, I am seriously considerign naming it because I do not want to blow another engine.

Someone from The SD crew name his boat the "Cameltoe".
Not going there, not gonna ask. Umali might have more insight on this.

Well around here its bad luck not to name your boat, I'm not superstitious but it cant hurt Smile . So almost everybody here do name their boats. And as a custom the name should be a female one, well 30 years back it was a custom. Laughing

My girlfriend calls my boat the "engagement ring" I was almost thinking about actually putting it on there just to piss her off even more.

Youch, Trip! Wouldn't want to be her when you came home with a boat instead of a ring. Teach her to wakeboard and maybe she'll understand why a boat is more important than marriage. (it's not really, but a hell of a lot more fun!)
