I'd say frontside b/c that's the direction your body's momentum is already heading. ?? But what do I know, I can only do a 180. Sort of curious myself. |

it all comes down to which you are most confident with...while the frontside rotation will be more of a continuation of your momentum off of the lip, if you are solid with a frontside 180...in this case take off of the lip for a 180, keep your eyes looking over your leading shoulder, pass the handle, don't worry too much about having to get all the way around, focus on the handle, when you grab that it'll bring you around, also when you take off bring up your knees, so you won't hang up on the lip (and it looks more in control)...but if you are all solid w/ a backside 180, then go for a backside spin (they are undoubtable more respectable, but this is because they are harder...). for your first i would go w/ the fontside, for some it is easier to grab melon or method this way when it is time to pass the handle your hand will be right there...you got it... |

Barsnov,
Sorry to change the subject, but do you ride the new bindings from Collective Development? If so, how do you like them? Thanks.
Oh yeah, I learned a heelside 360 first! I practiced them off of the rollers when the boat turns around and actually landed my second try wake to wake. Try to practice the technique of bringing the handle to your back hip and looking over your back shoulder off of the rollers. You will be suprised when you land it that way! Whatever you do, pass the handle! The falls are way more controlled and way less painfull if you can get the handle in the other hand. Good luck! |

Yeah, I would really like to try them out but I can't find them anywhere to try on. I'm not about to shell out $400.00 on a hunch, no offense. |

THose binding look pretty cool.Ive seen designs similar to them at Concrete bindings ..These look improved however but i would be worried that they may hold too well on hard crashes and do ankle damage from your foot trying to come out and dont ,something has to give.If you make a binding bind ttoo well it could cause injuries IMO..They look great though..where and when will they be available to demo??? _________________ "Thanks for Play'n"

Yea they do look pretty good. Look similar to snowboard boots. Those are the ones Charley Patterson is riding now right? |
