Ok, so i've been tossing around the idea of getting the lf evo 138, it's a package deal with boots for 299 on perfski.com. I'm 5'11", about 135 ibs, and beginner. Thing is, i usually catch on to this kinda stuff pretty quick, and i don't want something that i'll "outgrow" real quick. Anybody ever use this board before? Or maybe u can think of a better one for about the same price...or cheaper. Hey, cut me some slack, i'm 16 and w/o a job Very Happy ..anyways-thoughts would be awesome.

I think that that board would work freat for you. I don't know what bindings it is coming with, so I can't tell youa bout them, but pretty much any bindings and that is a great deal. You will not outgrow the board skills-wise and weight-wise for a while, and it is a great board, solid in all categorys. Tell us what bindings that come with it and we could probably tell you about them too.

sounds like a great deal, and welcome to the world of many many choices of boards! lol

It is for all levels. I first learnt to clear the wake on an Evo, but there's also a pro here in Aus who rides one.
