Ok, I bought a pair of Shox VC from an online store selling through ebay a couple months ago. I've only used them for indoor ballin', and after a few times out the upper started to rip. I really like the shoes, so I thought I'd keep using them and see how bad it got. It kept getting worse, and I didn't want to throw my $150+ down the drain. I'd heard Nike has excellent customer service, so I went to their website and filled out the defective product claim. They were supposed to get back to me ASAP. I never heard anything. I was still playing ball, so I didn't want to be left without shoes (it takes 2 weeks to have them replaced), so I waited until the season was done to pursue the matter further.

I just started my 2 week spring break, so I thought this would be a good time to get them replaced. I phoned in to their customer support center or whatever and sat on hold for a good 45 minutes. Finally some dude comes on the phone. I tell him the problem, and he isn't exactly being mr. polite (what can you expect, it's a crap job). So he asks me where I bought them. I tell him I bought them online, and immediately he says "We don't warranty products purchased online. Thank you sir." WTF... how is a shoe bought online any different than a shoe bought in store? I just sent an email bitching about my experience to Nike Canada, so we'll see what they do about it. As of right now I'm one pissed of customer though.

HAHAHA....tenacious d haha. that sucks though man, i bet they dont send a reply, or if they do itll just be a bunch of crap about policy and they will never get u fixed up.

that sux, some thing like that happened to me with them, i jsut called back a night later hopeing to get a different person, i did, and i just said i bought them in a store and they wouldnt take them back because i didnt have a recipt (that did happen though), so they told me to send my shoes in, gave me some info i need to include, and 2 weeks later i got a voucher for anything off of there website, it was even for more then i payed for the shoes....good luck

Yea, I was thinking about phoning back and saying I got them as a gift so I don't know where they were bought... Sounds like a plan...

My buddy had a pair and the ripped.He phoned them and they gave him a free pair of shocks.Maestro there is only on nike store in Ontario its in Toronto thats where he had to pick up the shoes.

The nike place is in Scarborough. You have to courier the shoes there. They're worried that if you drop them off there might be a bomb or anthrax or something.

I had the Kobes before the shox, and they were really good shoes. Before that I had horrible experiences with Adidas...

I'm sick of Nike. My shoes always self destruct within the first month that I have them, even if I just used them for basketball. It especially sucks that one of their most expensive shoes rips also.

I went with Adidas, got a pair of T-Macs, and they've been great so far. I'll probably buy from them again next time.

Yea, Nike makes a very comfortable product, but I know far too many people that spend top dollar on their shoes and they defect easily and quickly. Adidas is really taking a step in the right direction with the T-macs and some of their other shoes...

ya i agree with that also, my shox were tearing after like a month, and i wasnt doing anything that should make that happen, all i did was do running in them, but now i have a pair of adidas, and they are holding up great, but i dont do as much with them as i do with my other shoes

My Shoxs tore too and I only used them for basketball and like two weeks into the season they tore. I kept wearing them and they didn't get any worse which was good. I may get a pair of the TMacs, I like the way they look!

I have owned one pair of nike shoes in my life and they were junk!!! Pricy name brands suck I refuse to pay more than $60 for a pair of sneakers(usually I get away withspending like $30). I usually get good wear out of my cheap sneakers too!!!

I called back today and got a woman employee. She was a lot more helpful. Didn't ask any questions. I got the #, so I should be all set... No response from my email though.
