Which is a better deal? A demoed 2002 loaded super air with 100 hours in great shape, and with full 5 year warrenty or a 2003 similarly loaded new 2003 for 10, 000 more money?

I would go with the 2002 if you still get the factory warrenty, unless you like the few changes that they made to the interior on the 2003. What have you been qouted for the 2003? you can email me off the site,

Save the 10 grand and use it for the crazy gas prices this summer.

You can definately save the 10k with the 02, but a really good question is wether or not the boat was broken in properly. Those 100 hrs could be all hard hours. Unless you're into new boats every couple of years, do some research on that 02. Could save you time and money in the long run. (my $.02)

Assuming the 2002 is a used boat (since it has 100 hours), and you are not the official first owner (it was not a dealer demo)... then you will not get the full 5-year warranty.

Different dealers have told me different stories, but the Correct Craft 5-year promise is only good for the first owner of a boat. If that means a lot to you, then get the 2003.

Don't let the dealers or private sellers tell you differently... only the engine and hull warranty are transferable.

I was in your shoes about 2 months ago. I was torn between an 02 and 03, luckily my dealer was willing to help me out with the price of an 03 if I was willing to help him out at demos and other such things. He got the price on an 03 down to where it was crazy not to go for the new boat.

See if you dealer will do something similar, they may not help you out as much as mine did, but who knows. If you can get the price of an 03 down to within 5,000-6,000 as an 02 then definately go with the 03. And then you can get exactly what you want and save money on stuff you don't really care to have.

If the dealer demoed the boat then it is still considered new becasue it was never registered or anything and you still will get the 5 year warrenty. I dont think dealers would demo a boat like that knowing they would have a hard time selling it later.

Go with the 02 model, let someone else pay the depreciation.
