I think if got to a point in my riding where I've got most of the basics rolls/spins down and I really want to land a mobe to push my riding more. I've tried a couple moby dicks but they all ways turn out to be tantrum to blinds. If there is any easyer mobes please tell me and then give me tips for trying and landing them.
Also for those of you that have landed mobes, which on did you learn first? And which is your most consistant?
Thanks for your help _________________ www.nationsfoundation.org

my first was a mobey and second was a crow. Mobey was more natural and crowmobes come pretty fast. It sorta depends i guess. pete roses were the funnest for me to learn. but i know alot of people who learn dum dums and h/s mobes and stuff for their first. I guess it is what feels the most natural.

my first was a crow and my second was a moby dick but ive only done that once. Im wonderin how hard a slim chance might be actually. It seems so easy on the tramp and doesnt seem like it could be all that hard on the water either. I might give it a try this week. _________________ Whats the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom? A pickpocket snatches watches. |

Hey Adam, how long did it take you to stick a pete? Ive been workin on it for about two weeks or so and I always land and slip out onto my boat on that trick. And if I throw the backroll less hard I dont get around enough and eat it hahaha. Damned if you do damned if you dont _________________ Whats the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom? man i was close for along time and one day i just took a two sets and just worked on it. Here is what i ended up helping me land it.
First off, i started right outside the spray and brought a really mellow approach in and loaded the line pretty heavy off the bottom of the wake.
I am gona guess that you are grabing either slob or melon. On thing you have to be careful on is to not go for the grab to early. It will slow your roation and pop
This is what made the biggest difference, i was being really lazy after the grab and just trying to stick my arm back for the handle. What you really have to think about doing is bring that shoulder up and back hard when you let go of the grab, once i started doing that i began getting he handle everytime and it was just a matter of getting a feel for the loading part done at the bottom of the wake.
As for falling towards the boat i think swing that should up and back should help reduce that. Alos make sure that you land looking out at the shore..... _________________ www.hyperlite.com

I think the general consensus is that the easiest are moby dicks and crow mobes. But like Adam said, Ive known those who learned others first(myself included - pete). Id suggest giving the ones a whirl that are in line with your best foundation inverts. IE - if you have over-the-top crows with time to spare, crow mobe might be the ticket. _________________ http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=16993 one of few trips i got to make to the lake this year |

Dude I went out and tried 2 moby dicks today, man its all about taking off with more weight on your front foot. I only tried 2 cause I was making a "sponser me" Video thing so I didn't wanna crash that much but the second on I landed and everything handle pass and all but like right be for the water the rope got ripped out of my hands. Dude thanks for the tips in other posts on moby dicks, pretty sure next time I go out I'll land it!! _________________ www.nationsfoundation.org

the first mobe i got was hs mobe. i was doin halfcab rolls as much as hs roll2revert so i almost landed some switch mobes too but i didnt i was never good with crows so crow mobes were never really an option yet. but like they said its all about what basic inverts you are comfortable with and take it from there... good luck _________________ ...island style... |

| Whirlys arentt hat hard if you have a good strtiaght up tantrum. Its not a mobe but you could try tantrum2blinds there now that hard. Alls i do is pull the handle to butt and turn my shoulders when i spot the water. |

| NorthwestRider, I can't do the trick(yet), but if you are getting the rope pulled out of your hands then basically you are taking the trick away from the boat too much & creating tension upon landing. My friends keep telling me to try crow mobes, I have huge method crows into the flats with lots of extra time. I think it's gonna be my new thing to work on. |

it actually helps me to push handle down, this speeds up your rotation a little and gives you a little slacke for the handle pass.... _________________ www.hyperlite.com

not early and not really toward the hip you are pulling the handle is going to be going to, it wont make you do an off 7 unless you push it way over towards that hip. When i push down it is still almost infront of my lead hip.
I have been told the mine look different though, i bring it way over the top and do the last 180 at really late so i don't know what im saying may not help _________________ www.hyperlite.com
