This is my first venture into an SLR. My previous cameras were S200 and S300's. I bought the 1599 kit with the 18-55mm lens and then picked up the 75-300mm f4-5.6 USM lens. I can't wait to learn how to use everything this has to offer. I was able to get 36-40 shots off before it slowed to about 1.5 fps. The AI servo focusing in the sports mode is really nice.
I can't wait to get it out on the boat..sucks that I'm here in Chicago and its the end of the season for us. Guess I get to practice all winter with holidays and such.
Thanks BillJ and others with the lens selection. I thought I'd post one with the kit lens and no PS work other than a resize.

I bet you'll like it! Mine is great so far. Just wait until you get your first L series lens, then you'll be an addict.

Man o Man I want a 20D SO bad. I absolutely love my A2 but having endless iso capaebilities, a good 8mp, and being a real slr, just makes me drool.
