I'm 6'5" 220, i just started riding this year and i got an HO 135 wakeboard from a friend for 30 bucks so i couldn't pass it up.

before next season should i get something bigger? the 135 seems fine but it's all i have ever ridden so i don't know the advantages of a bigger board.

what would be the positives of getting say a 142 or a 144?

I will give you my opinion but im sure someone will not agree with me. IM a tall heavier rider, and i have found out that wider boards ride great. I used to have a 99 hyperlite 147 , i thought the length was good since i was heavier but i switched to a 142 TFD this year. I couldnt believe the diference between these two.

I think if you went to a 142 you would see a big change, and probably would feel alot better. IM not for sure what year your board is, but older boards were not as wide. Try out a era or tfd, youll love it.

at 220 lbs., you shouldn't be on anything smaller that a 140. You will see a major difference in control, speed, and pop when you switch to a bigger board.
