I am having trouble getting air on my toeside edge. I can sometimes clear the wake but can't get as much air as I would like to try any tricks other than grabs. If anyone can help, please do! Rolling Eyes

Come in with your knees bent with a tall back. And make sure you come off the wake on your toes and not your heels.

is this a trick?

anyway, dont lean as much over you toes but more against the rope, approach the wake with firm legs and get launched

Blindside_137 & midwest wake are right. You do still lean over your toes, but not in toward the wake, think about keeping your body in line with the rope. One more thing that helps me on my switch toeside edging is to focus on really keeping my toes on my front foot down in the wake, that will make sure you edge through the wake.

And when you land, keep leaning against that rope and edge out to the flats.

I just started consistently clearing the wake TS this year, a tip that helps some people like me is to have your front upper arm agianst your chest instead of out, this way you can get more leverage IMO.

Really commit to cutting nice and hard and dig your toes into the water, dont forget to straighten your legs at the wake, Its sorta hard TS but you need to do it.

Most importantly edge through the wake, you may think you are but you may not be, watch a vid of yourself to check. Wink

The more fins the easier it makes it IMO

that isn't edging, that's finning then and it lets the fins take over your form. riding finless at 15 mph for a while edging toeside will give you a better edge if you can hold it.

mcmarbles

When you are riding up the wake throw your chest up and towards the opposite wake. As you do this dig your toes in harder.

If you are leaning to far forward when you land it means you are bending over at the waist instead of your knees and this will mean less pop.
