| I know that pulling the gravity games lends it some cred... but how does the interior and mechanicals hold up... this is a very expensive boat... I dont want to buy it if it has obvious problems. |

| Supra's are pretty solid boats. My neighbor has a Launch and hasnt had any problem with is. The Gravity will deffinately get you noticed! I would not mind having one on my boat lift. |

I rode behind the 2003 Supra Launch SSV GG Edition in a competition, and to say the least I was very impressed. Probably the largest, steepest wake I have ridden behind compared to a 2001 Supra Launch, and a 2002 Moomba Mobius. They had about 3000 lbs of weight in the boat, and it was just enormous.
I found the wake to have a huge lip (not sure where they had the wakeplate), and the transition to be moderately large, but closer to being more abrupt. I rode a continous rocker board (2001 Obrien Answer) and it felt like the wake was kicking me straight up in the air, and right down on the other wake....its the most pop feel I have ever experienced. Its very jolting...its like cutting into a brick wall and having it launch you like a catapult.
I love the build quality and looks of Supra's boats, as well as Moombas and I will definitly be purchasing a Supra as soon as the financial situation becomes available. I assume you are buying used, but if not I urge you to check out the new 2005 lineup....

I have my eye on the 24SSV. My buddy owns a 2001 Supra Launch and the quality is top notch. Havent had any problems with it, and it has over 400 hours on it. Definitly a quality boat, I will be purchasing one in the near future! Good luck! |

Had an 01 Supra last year and sold it for a 04 Mobius.
Supra's quality are top notch, inside and out. I really miss my Supra and hopefully will be able to trade my Mobius in on that new 21V. That boat is SICK. _________________ My boat don't run on THANX |

Thanx everyone for the input... I am a 30 something and very new to the sport (only 2 seasons). I am faced with having to make a choice on a boat before knowing exactly which boat I should get.
Oh well... its only money and the alternative would be... not buying a boat... and that would suck!
I did check out the 2005 Supra GG... put my money down and ordered one.
Thanx again! |

I have a 2003 Launch SSV. I have well over 200 hours on it. Since you asked about how they hold up, I thought I'd make some comments.
Of the boats I test drove and had a chance to get behind, the SSV has one of the largest wakes I've seen. I really love the Indmar 5.7L. The engine sounds fantastic and I've had little problems with it. I do all the engine work myself though....
As for the rest of the boat, I'm mixed. Visually its stunning. Everything else though, completely dissappoints me.
The ballast system has constant issues:
1. The cheap valves get stuck all the time
2. The intake pump is weak and can't fill all 3 bags simulatenously
3. The rear hoses torque down on the drain connection causing it to break while driving.
Its nice when it works but its a bad day when you have the bag empting itself into the boat.
The bow compartment cover's hinge worked itself out of the its plastic cover and torn the hell out of the storage compartment's door. The vinyl is completely ripped up now.
I've noticed on the bow that cracks are developing on the hull. If you lift all 3 bow covers and look at the "backrest" you can see cracks all in that area. I don't know if they're structurally a problem, but I can see them.
The packing seal for the drive shaft spews water. Despite numerous trips to the dealership the bilge runs constantly after being out for an hour. The depth finder's transducer stopped working as well. The guages fog up at night (and in the morning) even though they're suppose to be sealed.
With all of that said, I can say that I won't be buying another Supra. I would be upset with my purchase but I got a great deal on the boat. Now I know why the dealer was so willing to cut hard on the price.
P.S. Get SpeedPass. I don't know if its just our boat or Supra's throttle, but minute adjustments are impossible. w/ cruise though, its no big deal at all. |

my favorite wake is definitely behind a moomba\supra, but if you want metal cupholders go with supra _________________ www.shadrack.com -This house is about to get freaky sleeping in! |

| I am a proud owner of an '04 GG Supra and love it. Got it in May and I put over 100 hours on it this summer. I haven't had hardly any problems with it at all. Only problems I've had are minor things with the Mako stuff (rubber on the board racks and water in the lights) that came with the GG package and my dealer took care of fixing all the problems. I think Supra makes a great quality product for a more than reasonable price and the Launch SSV has one of the best wakes out there. I've been behind most of the boats out there, the only wake I could say I like better is the SANTE, but the closes Nautiqe dealer to me is 3 hours away. |

| I owned a Supra Launch '03 and although I like the wake performamce, I was not impressed with the quality. The boat had loose hand rails, there were places where screws went into air because they missed the fibergalss, the pad at the front of the boat designed to lay the tower on was in the wrong place, I also had ballast pump issues. My guages also had condensation regularly and the vinyl Skiers Choice uses is terrible. The other thing that drove me crazy was that the swim platform always vibrated and drove me crazy with the noise. |
