Season it getting close to the end here in Ohio and I am trying to cap off my first two months of riding with a 360 Flat Spin. I am having trouble passing the handle and getting off axis. I am riding behind an I/O at about 21mph with 50' of rope off the transom (no plyon this year) I am on a 137 Hyperlite Fluid without the fins. My HS w2w is solid with varoius grabs, ect and my TS w2w is getting pretty consistent. Am I supposed to set my spin off the lip or is it something I should do in the air? (I am worried about having enough time behind the I/O) When I am on the snow I always set my spin off the edge/lip. I am getting full (or more) rotation. 1/2 the time I land it without the rope, the other half I am nose diving the flats on the other side. Any ideas would be great. Thanx

POP, PULL then PASS

Don't do anything until you are in the air!

Total oposite of snowboarding.

Gotta remember that you have nothing to use for leverage when in snow...the handle is what initiates the spin. Once you've got your pop, just pull the handle as far around yourself as you can with both hands...when your back hand is forced off the handle, you'll be right in line for it when you reach behind you. Make sure your grab hand is on before you let go with the other! Smile

use the rope and the rope only to learn this spin. once you get the motion, you can use your shoulders to spin faster.

Heh, so that's what I am doing wrong Mr. Green I figured setting myself up off the edge of the wake was probably not the right way to go about it. I am out of town this wknd but I hope to give it a try early next week. Thanx

Fellow ohioian Smile

You definatly need to wait untill your in the air, then do a normal 180, then with both hands pull the handle in to get the other 180. Keep your hands close to your body so the handle pass is easier, and also put your hand on the end of the handle so you have more room to grab it with the other hand.

i think for every trick you pretty much have to wait for the pop. except it seems when everyone is learning a new trick they throw it off the lipcause there scared of not getting all the way around or whatever could go wrong. WAIT FOR THE POP

it took me a month to learn this trick for one reason. I didnt look. Looking over your should will speed up your rotation because your whole upper body turns then your feet follow. make sure you grab the handle tightly when you pass it.
