| Yeah I have heard of it, almost went there but decided photography was more my thing. If you have ever seen Reflections (Jack Blogett) or Invisible Cinema (Chase Heavner) you've watched the work of people that went there. From what it seems they have an excellent program to get you where you need to be. Hit them up and get talking to a representative, they'll be able to give you the most information. |

| I looked deeply into going there for Music Production and Engineering, then opted not to because I changed career directions. If you can afford to go there, go there. They are masters in each area they offer and are held in extremely high regard by the "buisiness". They have awesome job placement too. |

yah im heading down there in a year or two. just depends on my financial situation ...that place is EXPENSIVE. but you get what you pay for. yah just request some information from their website and theyll send you up a big packet and most likely start emailing you and/or calling. _________________ sing goddess, of the anger of achilles, son of peleus |

I am pretty seriously considering going to Full Sail to major in Film...
But it seems so "Hollywood" based. I want to learn film editing for wakebording....etc. videos. Not for a Steven Spielburg production. It seems like alot of cool jobs could come out of it regardless. But is there really enough money in the wakeboarding industry as a film editor / photographer?
I am working on getting advie from as many people as I know that work in the industry under 'film' and that have gone to Full Sail _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

jrock*girl i thought about the same thing originally too. i dunno if theres enough money in JUST wakeboarding for a career. as for it seeming so 'hollywood' ....i think its mainly because they teach you a very broad program so you could get a career in just about anything that has to do with filming/editing/producing ....not just feature films. just outta curiousity when do you think youd startup if you went to full sail? _________________ sing goddess, of the anger of achilles, son of peleus |

*chris*, I though about that....but it does have sooo many other job opportnuites an dthey help you get there.
I would prabably start at the end of next summer. I graduate in June. But I will need to work my as$ off for a few months so I can afford to live while i am in school. They say you won't really have time for a part-time job.
what about you? _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

haha either you didnt understand my post or work TOTALLY screwed with my head so i just think you didnt understand. i was talkin about doing ONLY wakeboard videos for a living ....doesnt seem like that alone would be enough.
oh well ....yes yes, theyre job placement is great. my mom was talkin to some people about me movin down there and a couple of her friends said they knew peoples kids that went there and they got SWEET jobs immediately after graduating.
im planning on taking it so i can get into feature films ...specifically directing. a few friends and i have some killer ideas for action movies that we think could just BLOW away anything seen so far. (as far as action movies go)
if things go great and i can generate the amount of money i need ...ill be starting there next august/september. thats best possible scenario tho ...things are kinda iffy right now. but i dunno if i can stand another winter up here. _________________ sing goddess, of the anger of achilles, son of peleus |

*chris*, I just read it and I have no idea what I wrote either LOL
Sounds like Full Sail would be great for you to go to....Alot of the movies suck right now. I can't wait to see what you've got planned.
I e-mailed Chase Heavener from Alliance who went there, and just made Pre Pop. He was all down for answering questions so I'll let you know what he says. Or if you have any I would be glad to ask him.
I am not really into the "hollywood" scene which was my only drawback. I don't want to edit acting, I want to edit action. That is my only concern...I could see my self being a photographer/writer for one of the mags and making crazy wake vids with the knowledge from the school though....But I am totally confused LOL _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.

haha alright ...we'll call it a draw.
cant say i have any questions you could ask him at the moment. but yah im def interested in what he has to say about FS. howd you get his email ....through alliance? (maybe this is a stupid ? as the answer is prolly obvious but i cant seem to see it)
thanks for the vote of confidence about our ideas. my friends and i really do think that theyd make some great action movies. we've already started working on the rough outline of the screenplay. who knows how many 5section notebooks we'll fill up. and i just realized this as i was re-reading my last post.

Alliance hooked me up with Chase's e-mail...
He pretty much told me Full Sail was an increadibly awsome experience, and he absolutly loved it. But if I just want to get in the industry and do wakeboarding vids I should spend 10 grand on equipment and get myself started and work my way up. If all I want to do is make wake vids I don't really need a full sail education, i need money to burn.
......
So that's what i've got so far we are still talking. I dono what I will do. Mabye UCF. Full Sail just looks so fast, sick, and I could get a sweet job off of it until i establich myself in the wake scene and can depend on it... _________________ Sliding Glass...It's what we do.
