i got this pic off the internet, this deer is walking around in Ohio, still alive. there are only 2 pics ever taken of this buck. This is a world record walking around

i would get that mounted even if i found it laying dead of old age in a ditch, or hit by a car, the only people that would know that i didnt get it would be me and the taxidermist.

Yeah, dork... too bad it's not photoshop work. I've seen it in magazines before. I've seen it in books also. Also, dork... you don't have shadows if it's cloudy outside... obviously with the amount of light the picture shows, it's cloudy.

Ok just because you've seen it in magazines doesn't mean it's real. hell look at Playboy 75% of that ain't real. And there are shadows and they don't match between the deer and the back ground. Thee is way to much light on the antlers for them not to be casting shadows ,and the blue haze isn't natural. Also if a deer was in that position looking back he would need a second front leg for balance. but hisis missing. hey this are just my opinions I may not know what I'm talking about. it's just my job to know photoshop.

How do you know how the ground lays? Maybe the other leg is hidden behind the other do to how he has to stand in compliance with the ground. I don't know if it's just me, but I think that was taken with a little trail camera... they usually don't turn out too well... (the reason for the "blue haze") I have no clue what you're talking about with shadows between the deer and the background. The deer obviously doesn't have enough light to cast a shadow on the background. What's more, I don't see a "shadow" on the background other than over to the left which is a little darker. That could be due to a dip in the ground, different colored plants, etc... The reason for there being so much light on the antlers is due to it being a bad picture. Look how blurry the rest of it is. If the picture was a clear picture that was in focus, I doubt the antlers would look like that.

So you think he let people get that close to him with a little trail camera? He didn't get old from being dumb. The shadow is in the grass and weeds, the light source on the deer is coming from the right of the picture and shining on his antlers yet his neck doesn't cast a shadow on his body. The light source on the grass seems to be coming from over the photographers shoulder. The blue haze is around his back and under his belly.

look at the lighting on the antlers compared to the body!!! come on guys its not rocket science.velvet doesnt become that translucent when its cloudy! Or I suppose now youll say he/she used a flash...

Ok. A deer has to grow OLD to have big antlers. They dont get born with 20 points...And obviously they arent harder to shoot per se, but they are harder to find....they are more cunning (so in that way they are harder to shoot), and of course, when they get old they die, so you have to get them before this happens...Its pretty difficult (to say the least) to get a trophy head like the one above.

Its like saying....whats the difference between catching a 200lb blue marlin and a 500lb blue marlin...same fish, but not, if you get what im saying. You still have to fish in the right place with the right lure, and they're both big fish, but its just for some reason more difficult to get a 500lber than a 200lber..

It seems like a lot of times I've heard of people shooting things and being really proud of themselves and it seems like the bigger the thing, the prouder they are. Are these people being childish, similar to a kid who is always bragging about his boat, his house, etc. when they are really his dad's and they speak nothing of HIS accomplishments, character, intelligence, etc? Should they not feel more lucky than proud?

Now, if you killed it with your bare hands....

Wakedork - I hope you're not that dumb. A trail camera! One that is mounted on a tree! Has a sensor in it! Snaps pictures of deer, turkey, squirrel, fox, etc... without a human having to do it. It does it by itself. Wink
