|
|
I'm looking at 3 different used boats:
1998 Supra Launch
21'
1999 Mastercraft Xtar
20'
2000 Malibu sportster LX
20'
I was wondering what are the major differences in the boats and their wakes, and which one I should try to get. Right now I'm leaning toward the Xstar but it is a tad more expensive.... Nothing too horrible though...
Also what is considered low hours and what is considered lots of hours???

| X-Star...It's the only wake-specific boat up there.

I am pretty sure that supra didn't start making the launch until '99. it might be a sunsport with a tower and graphics. either way I would get the supra. Who cares if it a wakeboard specific boat(the xstar isn't anyway, old 205v hull). the supra throws an obnoxious wake. The best wake around IMO.

Xstars are 21 feet hence the 205v. The PP should not be that hard to fix, neither should installing new ballast pumps. If it is in good shape offer them like 18k. I still think 20k would be a steal for an X with 250 hours.
