hey dude... thats pretty sweet. i dont know what to say other than to commit to not letting go. i have the same problem doing HS backrolls.
anyways, im posting cuz i wanna know whether you think TS or HS backrolls are easier. my toeside W2W jumps are good, but im scared of under-rotating. i havent tried yet though because i wanna land a HS backroll first.

afxsguy, I think HS backroll are easier because you are facing the boat. all you need for a backroll is a good progressive cut about 10-12 feet out the wake. go to my gallery, you'll see some pic of it. I can send you some backroll video if you want to.
and about the TS backroll, I'm can't hold the rope, too much load in the rope.

I have a similar problem on my HS backrolls. I am popping and rotating, but I seem to be too far in the back seat and slide out the landings. Any help on that would be appreciated!

| Gaignstar, I can't do ts backrolls, but I think I know what you're doing wrong. It looks like you're holding the rope way to far out. Try holding it in closer, maybe even with two hands if thats possible.

| Well, your one handed TS BR looks like its a TS BR to blind. So try it with two hand and maybe you wont go to blind.

ben746, I went to bling few time because of the tension in the rope.
I LANDED IT last night
I had to wait for the pop and keep the handle closer and that's it

I don't know if someone said this yet cause I hate reading, but try holding on with two hands. Cut out wide and take a long progressive cut in and try to get as much pop as you can. As you're cutting in slowly suck the handle into your front hip and when you throw your head back concentrate on keeping the handle in or you 'll do a ts r2r. I'm not sure if this is good advice, but this is how I do them and I can do them no problem. If you want I'll post a video of a pretty clean looking one.
Edit: My avatar is a pic from the video I have of it. You can see how much different our pictures are as far as handle position goes.

just relax with it man, you don't need to load the line quite that hard at the bottom of the wake. You just over rotated it a little. as far as an indy grab it is an even more relaxed off the wake and sucking your knees up hard for the grab.
also (without the grab) make sure you hang with both hands keeping the handle at your waist for most of the rotation (at least 2/3 of the way around). This is just from that picture above. When the handle comes away from your waist, espcially that high, your rotation pretty much stops, you waist is your center of gravity so keep the handle close to that helps you flip easier and faster. Once you spot your landing you can open up and move the handle up or whatever to slow yourself back down.
this is a vid in my gallery of a t/s roll to revert with a grab. I do my t/s rolls with the same approach and loading off the wake....

| a ts backroll is a trick where so much style can be put into it, grab it nuclear. its really easy, just wait an extra second before you throw the invert, really wait for the pop and grab that stuff, its the most fun trick in wakeboarding
