|
|
| I can do tantrums, backrolls, 360s etc but Im having a problem with my backrolls, I can land em consistently but I saw myself in a video and My backrolls are very low and the rotation is very fast, how can I get more air and do the rotation slower ???? I have tried different things but they dont work: If I cutt slower, I land em inside the wakes, if I cut harder I land em outside the wakes but I feel the rotation like a whiplash, so I would appreciate if some one tells me how can I land em outside both wakes with a slower rotation, thanks!!! |

| well no, boarder thats wrong. Because you dont throw a backroll. You let the rope do the work, it is a load and release trick. Here is how do make them bigger- Cut out farther and edge harder into the wake. Never let up on your edge, cut through hard and look over your lead shoulder as you would normally. I think you are trying to throw the trick with your body so it spins you really fast. Concentrate on taking the trick up and away. |

Just wait for the wake!
If you are coming around "too fast" like you say it means you are hucking the trick.
Wait for the wake! _________________ PEACE

I have been doing backrolls for several years now, I often get into a streak where I can not throw them big to save my life!
Here's what usually brings me back to the "bigger" backrolls. I really, really start concentrating on DIGGING MY HEELS IN upon my approach. Lots of times I'll have tons of speed but I won't actually be loading up the line the way that I should. If I see a video of myself, lots of times there isn't much of the bottom of my board showing during my cut which usually indicates I'm not loading very much.
Think digging your heels (edge) harder upon your cut into your trick. Also of course...cut all the way through the wake and stand tall! |

get a shorter cut and be more agressive on your progressive cut (all the way to the top of the wake) _________________ if you don't fall, that's cause you don't try |
