Is it just me or is WRC awsome? Also i wonder if ford is feeling stupid for not re signing Carlos Sigians(sp) or Collin McRae. I like how now Citron is kicking some major butt beacuse they have thoes dirvers. any one else know what happened to Collin McRae's ex co-driver Nicky Grist? why aren't they driveing together any more. I found it funny when he messed up on some pace notes and at the end of the stage they were interviewing McRae about what happened. He was like "Why dont you ask the welsh wissard?!". Collin has to be my fav. WRC Driver. I can't wait for the Oregon Pro Rally this year, Scott Fuller and Jeff Call are gonna own that rally! Im gonna be taking lots of pitures so expect some really cool photos from me. wow this has kinda turned into a straight rant for me. so any ways any one ever watch Group B rally tapes from the 80's? Man the Audi Quattro is soo awsome! so is Walter Ralough(completely can spell his name). Lancia was cheating by putting NOS into there fire extigushers. that was rather ingeinous of them in my oppinion. whats every ones fav. Manufacture? and whats every ones FAV. WRC Driver?
Mines Collin McRae and VW! _________________ wakeboards

| wrc is world rally championship or something along those lines. it's small cars, mostly imports, that race across mostly dirt roads through wooded and other rural areas. they start at different times and race for time though sometimes one car will catch another the object is to have the fastest time driving through a certain area called a stage. back when i watched tv speedvision now called the speed channel aired coverage of it. it's worht checking out sometime. kicks formula 1's ass anyway. |

What is up with American motorsport? All you do is either go in a straight line (drags) or around and around in a circle (Stockcars). Where is the skill in that? WRC or touring cars is where its at. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

I like the WTCC? personally. Isn't that the touring car one? Those cars are bad. Rally racing looks like fun. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

| what about CART c-minded? NASCAR (stockcars) is my favorite type of racing because it's the most competitive although touring car is pretty good too. drags aren't that great but you forgot to mention CART. it's not the most competitive but formula 1 can make it look that way. |

Rallying is fun. We run the Targa (worlds premier tarmac rally) here in Tasmania. Its awesome to see street cars like Vipers, Porches and GTO's shoot around like rally cars.
The V8 supercars pretty much rule the roost here in OZ. They are Aussie built V8's, built by Ford and Holden, and they thunder like no other. The new Pontiac GTO is actually a re-badged Monaro, as 2 door version of the HSV Commodore, the V8 Supercars standing champion. _________________ Terminate high thinking |

Subarus are king. McRae is a wicked driver though.
They dont just race through wooded rural areas on dirt though dude...
Rally of Sweden? All snow. Turkey, Greece and Cyprus are all gravel or tarmac.
And at most rallies they have like a super special stage like 1 on 1 somewhere on a man made track in a city somewhere. WRC is def one of the best forms of motorsport. Leaves Nascar and NHRA for dead. _________________ And if @$$holes could fly, this place would be busier than O'Hare |

| jeremy- i was giving a general deffinition for people that have never heard of it. that is why i said mostly dirt roads and rural areas. as for rally leaving nhra and nascar for dead i agree with you on nhra but not nascar. it's all a matter of opinion though. |

Yeah, obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but Nascar?
I really dont understand the attraction. 30 40somethings going round an oval track at 180mph or whatever. I just dont see much test of a drivers skill there, I know there are heaps of other cars, but its not as though you have to do a lot of skilled braking and that sort of stuff. _________________ And if @$$holes could fly, this place would be busier than O'Hare |

I DONT agree with that it requires no athletic ability. Have you seen how Bubb Rubbing sweaty and worn out drivers of all motorsports (except NHRA) are when they step ot of a car after a race? _________________ And if @$$holes could fly, this place would be busier than O'Hare |

What about the bikes? MX/SX, GP, Superbike. Flying 100 ft through the air or 150mph inches off the ground. No protection from a ton of metal and a roll cage. _________________ "The pen is mightier than the sword cause the pen gives the word sending swords to war." |

| Well how do you define a sport? I define a sport a something that is competitive in nature and tests physical limits. I think some if not all of the above racing activites fall into my definiton of a sport which is all I am trying to say. |

Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
A particular form of this activity.
An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively. _________________ Go Ducks

WRC rocks ! so do most of those other motorsports, i think WRC is good because it is not as predictable as other motorsports, last year i remember in the African rally one of the cars was near totalled by a giraffe ! thats a sweet video on WRC 2001 ! _________________ Jess

Mike, once you've seen WRC every thing else just seems kinda weak.... also why do they show like 3 hrs of WRC per week yat they show about 15 hrs a day on nascar?? Does any one really care about the 1973 daytona 500 race?!! they have footage of the SCCA Pro Rallys too, I don't know why they don't show more of thoes... _________________ wakeboards
