Quick P-Shop Question

I searched for it but couldn't find it so now I come to ask: Lets say I have a pic of someone wakeboarding, How can I make it so they are in color but everything else is in black and white?

Use the lasso or magic wand to select the rider and copy the selection to a new layer, select the original layer and use the desaturate command. That's one way there are probably others.
