| Hmm well this is a problem. You might be haveing a bit of tendonitis. Weights dont always help. Maybe you should try strengthening your arm by just riding. But overall this should be checked out by a doctor. My elbow hurts after i do a bunch of one handed flips in a row but I ice it and it seems better. |

It would be best if you went and saw a sports medicine doctor, and they can give you some exercises to build up your arm strength to alleviate this.
I get the same thing in my right arm from playing softball and just started feeling the pain in my left arm from wakeboarding (after landing one handed post-grab).
A friend of mine uses the rubber straps that are available in different strengths that you can tie to a door knob and use for resistance training. _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |

but if you go to the gym or have exercise equipment at home one of the best exercises is to hang form a bar and just hang it will strengthen the muscles and it will stretch them so they slowly adjust to the muscle strain _________________ R.I.P. M. Legge

| arm pump from wakeboarding??? never got it wakeboarding. although i get it severly on the motocross track. Some things help, diet is a big one, riding postiition( on a bike) . Proper breathing( not holding your breath ) a big one for me is when in the air off a big jump I open and close my hands, it gets the blood flowing and helps me alot. They do do a surgery for arm pump if its that big of a problem. or just get a motocross bike and crosstrain and you will never have arm pump boarding again. |

beers are great, especially when wakesurfing. Just have someone pass you one once you get up on the board, or store a full one in your jacket then open it up once you're up. _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |

| I find there is nothing really you can do that uses the same muscles as wakeboarding, so you just got to get used to using these different muscles I guess. |

Anyone else's thighs get extremely weak after wakeboarding for a bit? I'm thinking its my posture, because after a few good runs I usually just have to take a break for a while, cause my left leg/thigh won't support me. Just walking around the boat afterwards is awkward for a 10-15 min or so. I won't lie, I'm no body builder, but I consider myself to be in good shape. Run and lift weights semi-regularly. Or maybe I'm just weak. What gives? |

No idea why your legs would be hurting you. My legs are really the only part of my body that haven't hurt from wakeboarding. And with me having a desk job 40+ hours of the week and not working out or excersizing, it's not because I have strong legs.
So I'm not sure why your legs would be hurting. Maybe it is your posture. Go take a look at some pictures of pros riding and pics of you and try to find some differences. _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |

You don't need to see a doctor, you need to straighten your arms and loosen your death grip. Ride relaxed-it will help your form and make your crashes much less painful. _________________ Crownsville Wakeboard Team |
