Help! How do I get more pop? I am trying to cut out pretty far, edge progressively and stand tall at the wake but I am only getting 4-5ft. of height at best. Also, my I/O has a wide wake even with a shortened rope and I am not able to clear it but usually land right on top of the 2nd wake. Any tips? I ride a HL Premier and have been riding for 2 summers.

if ur getting 4-5 ft of hieght, u should be clearing the wake easily. cut harder, but i doubt ur getting as high as u say. _________________ OPINIONS ARE LIKE RAP CAREERS EVERBODYS GOT ONE |

4-5ft. is best but 2-3ft is avg. jump...can clear it easily on friend's Air Nautique but not on my IO with wider wake...think key is to just cut harder? tried to attach quicktime vid but file too large...

I spent a long time landing on the top of the second wake, you just have to cut a bit harder than you think and keep a tight rope. Just work on clearing the wake first, then focus on height.

or you could speed the boat up to around 22 - 23 mph, that should narrow the wake. then trim up a little to get a descent lip.

thanks - I'll try edging a little harder and speeding the boat up just slightly! Do you feel like you get more pop when you edge out pretty far and try to edge really hard or when you're not trying as hard?

You have to keep a nice smooth rythm as you turn back into the wake, so don't go all out at the beginning. Have a fair bit of speed at the wake though cause you don't want to come up short, just keep it progressive.
