Does anyone have any suggestions on this trick and how much more difficult is it than on axis 5's?

Thanks

For some people it's more difficult, but for some they find off-axis toeside 540s to be easier.

It helps if you can already do on-axis 540s and Scarecrows first, but if not it's still possible. Can you do either one of those?

Essentially you want to edge a bit more like you would for a Scarecrow than an on-axis 540, and initiate the pop in a similar fashion, but instead of going into a flip, you look over your back shoulder while letting your hips rise to start the rotation.

For most people they tend to flip too much and make the rope too hard to pass. You need to try and pop towards the boat a little bit to get some rope slack to make the handle pass easier.

Thanks Pat.

No, unfortunately I'll still out on the Scarecrow and on-axis 5's. I've been landing ts 3's for some time now and haven't started to over-rotate them a bit so that's why the thought came into mind about trying o/a 5's.

I know that I should be learning on-axis 5's first but I don't think they look as good and I only get to ride every couple of weeks!

I'll try to get some on-axis 5's under my belt first.

Thanks again.

It would definitely help to have the on-axis version down first.
