|
|
Hi All,
I tried wakeskating for the first time yesterday and I loved it. I went out and bought a board and I have a few questions. Sorry if some of these seem dumb, but I do not know too much about wakeskating.
1) I bought a 04 Hyperlite 112 Catalyst (I think it's a Brian Grubb). Generally speaking, is this a good board?
2) It has a foam top. Same board I rode yesterday. Do people wear shoes when riding with a foam top?? Seems like the shoes would mess the foam up.
3) Speaking of foam, do it get messed up after a long period of time? If so, how do you fix that? Can the foam top be replaced??
Thanks in advance for your help. I can't wait to go out tomorrow and try it again. |

| its a good board but most wakeskaters arent big fans of hyperlite wakeskates for whatever reason. if you like the way it rides then cool. you shouldnt need to replace the top it shouldnt get too messed up. if you want the the top can be replaced. |

| it's not a horrible board but after a while of using it you might find it is a little narrow and a little light and ride like a wakeboard to much also yes wear shoes it will not mess the foam up. just make a very annoying noise. |

foam vs grip tape. honestly its personal preference.
i dont think one has any certain provable benefit over the other.
its like spelling tomato with or without an "e". or something like that. |

i have a cassatte. no clue what model. it was only like 100$ but i love it.
never ridden on foam but i like grip. it leaves cool scars if you fall on it
went this weekend and not all the slack was out of the rope and my dad gunned it and i had been holing the board on my feet in the same postion that you get up on a wakeboard and when he gunned it i just raked my hands across the top of the middle of the baord. they were bleeding a lil but it looks cool now _________________ keep it real |
