What are the factors to consider when shopping for a tower? I have noticed that there is a huge difference in prices? I know of course that it would have to fit the boat. I also noticed in another thread that monster towers are recommended. _________________ Check out my wakeboarding links page. |

Hey tedamenta,
For some folks, the ability to fold it down is a necessity...I think some towers are truly built for your particular model boat whereas others are universal and have heim-jointed "feet" allowing them to mount in many orientations...
I think you'll find Monster comes highly recommended - Bill has a great design allowing both stiffness and collapsibility.
Then there's the asthetics discussion - some folks really like the "swoop style" towers, but that's something you'll need to work out..

When I bought my tower, PRICE was the biggest factor, then came aesthetics (looks), then being able to fold it down for storage. After you figure that out, you should have it narrowed down.
If you want to spend less than $1000, there are only a few "real" towers....not including the roll bars with a cable attached to the bow.
I went with Monster and have nothing but good things to say. _________________ So, I've got that goin' for me...which is nice! |
