|
|
In 2001, bow speakers were optional and they were not added for the original owner (I bought the boat used.) Any ideas about adding some speakers to the bow in the vinyl? Should I attempt to check with a upholstery shop about doing this? Anyone had any similar experiences with doing this?
Thanks,

I owned a malibu and installed the speakers in between the bow, so the people driving and people in bow could hear it worked out great, can send you a pic if you would like,

Contact Jeff Warner at CC in Orlando. feel your boat and see if the holes in the foam are already cut out behind the outer vinyl skin. If so, you can get the speaker covers and pieces from your local correct craft dealer or the factory warehouse so it will look original.

Cutting a hole behind the upolstery to accomadate the speakers is no big deal. You will have to remove the seat. The seat is held in by screws that you can get to from under the driver's kick well and then under the observers seat. Then the seat will lift straight up and out. Figure out where you want the holes cut. Get the seat cut with the piping and mesh front may cost you some but, still doable.
