|

I just bought a Blindside Mckee 141. It has two side molded fins and a 1.5" center fin. I tried doing a surface 180 on it, and the board is still pretty "sticky" -- I'm guessing it's because of those center fins. I was thinking about taking them off but I didn't know if they helped keep the board stable when popping off the wake. Any suggestions?? _________________ Life is a series of ups and downs, separated by no-wake signs. |

The best thing to do is to take them off, and try it for a set, to see how it feels... Give it a chance though, it will likely feel very different and you may not like it at first. I have a friend with a parks board, and he just switched his fins to a much smaller set, and he did not like it at first, but he gave it some time, and now he is used to the feel and he loves it. You could also try getting smaller fins, it may be a better solution. I would think that the fins do help with stability in popping off the wake, but I am sure it could be done without them. _________________ "There are two things I cannot stand in this world, people who are intolerant of other peoples cultures, and the Dutch" |

| Ladythump, the din has the same general purpose as the molded fins. you should be able to do surface tricks with th center fin but it will require more work and skill. go ahead and try it both ways and see which way you like better. |
