Perfect pass question. Digital pro versus wakeboard pro.

Looks like, from their web site

http://www.perfectpass.com/products.html

That the digital pro is 200 bucks more... sounds like you got a deal...

It looks like it just has more slots for saving setup's and maybe an added sensor.

The Digital Pro will do everything the WakeBoard Pro does and more. It may be slightly more complicated to use but you've got a deal. Keep it.

If you don't want it, I'll buy you a Wakeboard Pro and you can ship your Digital Pro to me!

Yup, Digital Pro has everything Wakeboard Pro has PLUS it includes the magnet pickups for running slalom courses. I encounted same situation... via a goof I got Digital Pro when I ordered Wakeboard Pro. I didn't even install the magnet pickup and leave the control in Wakeboard mode. The operation is identical to your buds runnin the Wakeboard model! Heck, when mine is turned on it even SAYS "Wakeboard Pro".

So yeah, you got a deal even though you probably will never use the enhanced slalom mode.

Perfect Pass Pro and WakeBoard Pro use the same control module and software. You can change between the two by doing a system reset. When the display keys up during reset it will ask you if you want "wakeboard only" yes/no.

The only thing this does is limit the amount of options the system has to offer as you scroll through.

Sometimes the company will send out units with the wrong software loaded...all you have to do is bring the wakeboard software up.... You did not get the full digital pro unless you also got the magnet pickup.

If you want to reset your module, all you have to do is turn the boat off. Then depress the on/off button and the up arrow button at the same time when you turn the ignition on. Then a menu will come up asking you 3 questions. I forget what the three are but they are something like servo test, mph/kmph, and wkbrd only... On the last question answer yes to the wakeboard question.

Then you will have a Wakeboard Pro PP. If you want the digital pro for slaloming, then you can do those steps and answer no to the wakeboard question and then you have Digital Pro!

Kuehn - You are a tube! Razz

Wakeboard Pro runs the exact same software as Digital Pro. The only difference is the magnets arn't supplied. I ordered Wakeboard Pro and when I installed it and changed the settings it then came up as Digital Pro. For the next few days I thought I had managed to con Perfect pass. If you set it up for wakeboard only=yes then it comes up as Wakeboard Pro.

This has been confirmed by Paul at PP.

When are you comin over??

D'ye like dags
