When I mash down on my back foot and then pull up on my front I am not getting enough pop for the ounce. Help please! I wants some ollie 180s man! As of right now, I am not getting enough air to have the confidence to know I will get around 180 degrees..........

Is it easier to try it at slower speeds?

Ollies are harder at slower speeds. The faster you go the more air you get. You won't catch an edge as easily if you go slower though.

After you mash down your back foot and pull up your front foot you gotta jump off your back foot. Bend your knees and put some power into it.

When doing ollies don't bend at your waist. Bend at the knees, so you don't throw yourself out in the air. The more you do the better you will get at it, so keep working.

the slower you go the less pop you get, when i do ollie 360s if i dont go fast enough then i only get about 270 around and i catch an edge, you HAVE to go where you feel comfortable, before you try them first, push down and pop a little to see if your going fast enough, youll tell if its to slow because your tail will still stay in the water and it will feel like your staying stuck in the water..

holy crap my english teacher would kill me for that run on sentence..

voodoo1, you also want to have a good tight line when doing the ollie because it will help generate pop.

If your regular try doing ollies on the left side of the wake. If your goofy try them on the right side of the wake. Also, try pushing down wtih your front foot then slamming your back foot. It should be like a rocking type rythem.

grr i made this long post but then it didnt work so ill do it again...

the best way to ollie IMO is to start with your front of you body facing the wake then start to cut out heelside building a progressive edge. at the peak of your progressive edge set the board flat and push on you back foot hard while lifting your front foot. then lift your back foot to the same height as ur front foot then stomp the landing!

this is what im talking about... sorry im horrible at compressing and stuff and i hope the format works ive never posted video before

Cut out on your heelside. Flatten off, and then kinda bounce once or twice, then rock forward and bit then kick down your back foot hard, then bend your knees to bring the board up.
