harder? yes? impossible? no!

I'm sure your boat driver will really feel the boat being pulled by you when you take your hard cuts, but if you get a good edge you will still get popped up enough to be able to do inverts like backrolls and stuff.

When I first started doing backrolls I was only 3-4 feet off the water at most. Now, at the height of my roll while inverted, my head is 6-7 feet off the water. Just look at this pic. This is with a boat that doesnt have a great wake either.

Work at it and i'm sure you can rip it up eventually. Best of luck~

wow man how do you go that huge on your backrolls? im about 6'2 195 and can almost land all the basic flips and spins. i dont know if thats considered a big guy or not but proper technique is deffinately the key to progression.

I'm 6'5" and 250 and I've had no issue with backrolls, tantrums, 360s - even tried a hs front. No issue getting height or getting around, just landing.

Make sure your board is big enough - I moved up to a 144 board and it has helped me tremendously.

Jason is pretty big. When they had pylons they would have to retighten the pylon everytime he rode(what I heard, dont qoute me on it). Definately watch some nor cal videos even if you arent interested in big guys, its refreshing to see another style of wakeboarding than the florida boys.

Well, my big behind tried a tantrum yesterday at the river and busted my ass about fifteen times before I landed one but I kept dropping the rope for some reason prior to landing. I guess they haven't dropped enough yet. It felt awkward just flippin at speeds like that. I never knew the wake was so intimidating. Would you guys say a tantrum is good for someone who's been riding about three months?

Thanks for the input. I'll keep bustin my ass and trying new stuff. I know it takes a special breed of person to go out and keep wrecking and going home with the ever so popular "crick in the neck feelings" every day. Not to mention those great headaches from poppin' the water. Thanks again, and rock on brothas!

I know a guy at my school who is 6'5'' no idea about the weight but he's bulky, he plays football. He does tantrums and he's been doing them for a long time. Just go for it.
