|
|
| I found a place that you shouldn't get a board from. On July 31, I ordered a 2003 obrien vision from a place online and they e-mailed me back saying it was out of stock, and they could send me a BRAND NEW 2004 model for a little more. I decided not to do that, and went to a local board shop (what I should have done to begin with) and bought a board. It is now August 20 and I got the 2004 board, and they charge our credit card for that. The receipt on the sheet they sent in the box said my order was filled on August 18, which is WAY off from my order anyways. And they said it would be a brand new board, and this one came with blemishes. We called them and they want us to pay for shipping and won't put money back on our card until they get the board. We find it hard to trust them because they sent us this board and charged us without our consent, so we're not sure if they'll actually put money back on our card. The place is Performance Ski and Surf and the website is www.perfski.com DON'T GO THERE because you could get screwed over. |

just keep the board and use it as an extra board for the boat, or sell it. if you feel like you would not get the money back on your card then don't take that chance and go with the sure way. thats a bummer dude, but the vision looks like a sweet board. _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

performance ski and surf IS a local boardshop, well local to Orlando. I'd trust them to put the money back. When you say "I decided not to do that" about taking the '04 for a little more, what did you tell them? Did you give them a straight answer like "no thanks i'll just keep the money and look elsewhere" or did you just say "no I don't want to do that?" Maybe if you didn't give them a straight answer, they decided to send you a blem '04 for cheaper than the new '04. Just maybe. And about the fill date and the actual order date, 2 weeks is not really a big deal, plus you say you got it 2 days after what they had as the fill date? unless you live really close to o-town, or it was express shipping, that wasn't the actual fill date, could have been the date they anticipated for delivery.
And of course they won't put the money back on the card until they get the board back, every company I know of is like that, 'cause that's how they get screwed, is when people keep boards and get their money back. _________________ Some female cows have horns, but you wouldn't really know anything about that now would you? |

| Yeah I understand your last paragraph about getting money back, but I CLEARLY stated I wanted my money back and we didn't want their business, we talked on the phone to them about it. And you have to look at it from my perspective. If you spent over 200 dollars on something and they told you it was out of stock and you didn't want a different board...you've done everything right so far, and these guys are arguing with you about it all, would you trust someone like that? They won't even give us credit to ship it back, so we have to pay for that. Oh well, it will all hopefully get straightened out and if I don't get credit, I can challenge the purchase with my credit card company. I like my liquid force evo just fine anyways. |

| And just for the record, the website says "free ground shipping through August" on the site and that board I wanted is sold out is STILL on the site and STILL says it's in stock. |

| Performance ski and surf is a good company you shouldn't try to ruin their buisiness just because of one bad experience with them. I have never had a problem doing buisness with them and I had never heard anything bad bout them till this. |
