|
|
So I stumbled across this photo of a 60-something foot yacht. Check out how clean the wake is. Usually big boats make a big wake but not that clean. This is saltwater too. Imagine the size in fresh water.
Q1: How big do you think it is? Chest high?
Q2: When is someone going to shoot a video segment with some pros behind one of these bad boys?

ive ridden behind a 42 ft searay sundancer and the wake is actually to progressive and big......i tried ti jump but no matter how hard you edge u cant make it up the wake its just two big, the wake wen i was riding was chest high and im 5 7......it would be more fun to wakesurf i think but wen you cut at the wake and you flatten out and stand tall you lose all your speed before you make it to the top, its like going uphill, still fun though

| Dpierce37, seriously. I was looking at boat trader and came across this yacht that held 1200 gallons of gas. I was like holy Shiznit that'd cost $2400 to fill up.

| Dpierce37, I don't think you use a boat with a 1200 gallon tank on a lake... I'd shop for months waiting for the cheapest gas price.

I would only be able to go out like once a year!
'course I have thought about buying a $100,000 boat and just living on that instead of buying a house. But i forgot to add in the docking cost. That runs close to $400 right there for a covered slip. So add that to the monthly bill...ecckkk.

Back in the day wakeboard magazine had an article about a yacht that towed a bunch of the pros for a day. They all started on the back of the boat one at a time and slowly let themselves out on the line because the boat was so big it took forever to get up to speed. After each rider fell they got picked up by a chase boat until they all fell then they did it again, pretty crazy pics, I doubt i still have the mag though.

| In Free for All, they ride behind a great big yacht like that. It looked like an adventure, but they really didn't seem to be able to get any bigger air than on some of the other clips. I think there is a physiologic limit that your body can reach.

| Cobe came up to Okoboji and they gave him a pull behind the barge. Tied the rope to the boom that was like 20 foot high. The wake was so huge. He did a raley over and X-star that followed us on the barge. On one of the raley's he cracked his board in half. You should have seen how fast he switched boards and got rid of the cracked one. It was in Wakeboarding Mag a couple of years ago. I am to lazy to go find the article.

Like Yellow Mobius said.....buy See What I See Productions' follow up to Scrubs of the South called 'Evolution:Wake' when it's available(soon).
He filmed one of Midwest Militia's very own goin' large behind an even larger Carver!! I think it may even be featured on the trailer.
