Ive looked through quite a few of the posts but i couldnt find one that was what i was looking for. My question has to do with height when jumping the wake. I can jump the wake and I think I feel pop off the board, but I dont actually get very high (about a foot and a half). I actually used to get more heigth back when I would flatten out and try and jump off of the wake. I wondering if I should not worry about the hiegth and just keep using good technique or what? Also, we dont have a wake tower and the wake is a little rampy but my friends that flatten out and push off still get higher than me (4 feet) any help would be appreciated

Don't push off, lock your legs straight and explode them into the position but don't jump. Keep using the good cut though.

What if you wakeboard behind a boat that doesn't have a tower, just plain, ya know?

i dont have a tower, but i still get a lot of air. u dont have to have a tower to get good air. i suggest learning how to ollie before u learn wake jumps. that helped me a lot when i was learning. make sure to keep the board on edge, and bend ur knees before u start ur prog. edge.. push down some when u hit the wake, but not a lot....

Once you get into the air after doing your edge, pull the handel straight down and in to your hips. That ought to help you some.

this is a very good explanation on more air. if you do this your friend will say where the hell did u pull that from... and youll say.... idk wut youll say but yeah cut out as far as you can then stand up, once the boat begins pulling you in, bend your knees and dig those heels into the water, once you get to the wake try and dig your heels in as much as you can and you should get huge pop

I am in the process of learning this also. I can jump inside-out pretty well and land that no problem, but when I come outside in on my heel side I don't get much air. Most of the time my legs come out in front of me and I fall flat on my ass...

I read everyone's advice and I think next time I will get more air, but I didnt see anything about my problem with my legs getting out from under me.
