Fat Sacks on Fishing boat

I'm starting to get into wakeboarding more and we have a fishing boat... and my dad is too cheap to buy a new boat. Would 2 fat sacks that weight about 250 each do much for the wake?

that would do wonders. I rode behind a 15 footer on lake michigan. and with just 3 more people than our normal 3 it was so much better

go buy a cheap air matress at wal mart and fill it up just to see what happens with the wake. it would be better to spend 10 bucks and make sure it doesn't just eff up the wake then go and spend 200 for good fat sacks

Large Pastic Totes used for winterclothing, camping gear, tools, whatever work great. They usually come in 20-25 sizes and have covers. Take them along empty and fill them up out on the water with a small bucket and cover them up so the water doesnt slash out. We have a Lowe loaded up with 3 totes and 3 people. We get a nicely shaped wake.

Wow I never seen people get towed behind a fishing boat before. But ya know that is still tyte. You should post some pics or something with your fishing boat loaded down with weight, thad be sweet!

Oh the 17' Whaler is an awesome all around boat. Is it the Montauk NeverSummer? Twenty years ago......(I'm old)....I grew up on Lake Huron with a 17' Whaler and learned to ski behind that boat. Loved it and miss it! Just the other day I saw a 17' Whaler on our inland lake and it seemed wierd to see the guy standing up at the center console while driving. Brought back memories. You can get a ski pylon for that boat if you don't have one. Yea sand bags would do it wonders I'm sure.

Actually....besides my Mastercraft......we have a 29' Whaler too. Love 'em.

i have an 18' scout we put a fat seat in back and the wake was alot bigger unfortunately it took a while to plane so i ended up getting a fat sac in the front and the wake is much bigger and has no problem with planing

I like Scorched_Ice7's idea, makes sense too. Probably 100 times cheaper that a fat sac. You wouldn't even need a pump or anything either. Plus it would be easy to center, or move a little to even out the weight
