I believe you missed the point too.
Yo, Berg...go back and read her first few posts in this thread, and tell me that we're in the wrong.

I read it, it's all opinions man, no reason to get so bent over it to the point of making personal attacks on someone. I have a liquid force skate, I've never had a problem, had a cassette once it was crap, liquid force models their skates after cassettes, I still don't want another cassette, she likes cassettes I don't have a problem with that.

RyanBerg, opinions??? Sorry bud - what has come from K-Dub's side of the aisle is fact.

He did not mention Cassette or make reference to their quality. We simply stated that HO was not "craptastic".

Opinions??

So maybe you can inform us on why H.O. skates are so "craptastic", and HL skates are so much better, when it's the same exact thing?? Please?

...oh, wait. I see why you are defending her stand-point. You must be her boyfriend or something. Rolling Eyes

so umm here is a bit more info for you people that have not a clue what is going on in this industry:

cassette=LF=484. as of 03 they were all pressed by the same people. ever wonder why they look the same? its the same damn mold (save the asymmetrical cassette and bi-level). cassette has since moved on with their designing because they are the ones that know whats going on in the first place. LF has apparently improved their concave for this year, but we will see how good that turned out.

I actually don't agree with her, but everyone has a right to their opinion. if she thinks it's crap fine, if you don't fine, but there's no need for personal attacks.

only if its an informed one. you have no right to say that you hate cassette but love LF skates. thats just stupid.

RyanBerg, wait, who personally attacked who?

If you are implying that K-Dub went on the attack, then you don't know K-Dub well. When he goes on the offensive, you will know it!

But history shows that every rider owned company has sold to a big conglomerate.

Thats the big conspiracy. These "Rider/Owners" tell you to be core like them and don't support big companies. Then they either go belly up because they are crappy business people or they sell out. Unfortunately to make a lot of money in this game, you got to have a lot of money already. I say support companies with innovative rider/designers (LF with Redmond for example)

AHHHHH!!!

WTF?! Same stuff different piles! What all the intelgent people have said! So lets say i buy a GMC, it is a lemon. I trade it in for a Chevrolet, and it is not a lemon. therfore GMC's suck and Chevys reign supreme?!

How many HO skates has your friend owned? 1?!
SHOCKING!!
How many HL skates has your "friend" owned? 1?!
SHOCKING!!
Seriously every manufacturer has lemon boards, GET IT THREW YOU HEAD THAT THE SAME DAMN PERSON IS PRESSING THE HL SCAPE SERIES IS THE SAME ONE PRESSING THE HO SKATES. Sheiot, I'd be willing to bet that they are acctualy pressed all at once and then sent of for different graphics. Idea

scott a, I'm pretty sure H.O= high output. do a google search for high output sports and you will find HO's website.

wakeboarder_360, incorrect.

HO = HERB OBRIEN. Whether or not you find it as High Output on the web, it was derived from Herb's initials.

chavez, There were some HO skis that said "High Output" on them back in the day. That might be where wakeboarder_360 got his info from.

J-Ro, this I know, I just wanted the kiddies to know the Herb O'Brien name - and make sure they associate it with HO Sports and Hyperlite (as one and the same).

Speaking of history, was it Herb, his brother?, or Connelly who was busted for running coke stashed away in skis back in the 80's.

You guys are all losers for Hijacking his thread and turninit into an argumentive history lesson. Who cares how or why or when his new skate was created, the guy just got a skate and wants to have fun with it. You guys should be congratulating him for joining the "skate scene" right after getting the new boat. some people dont have to have the best of everything to have a good time.

So I say enjoy your skate and If anyone goes back to the original post. Yes I think your $50 skate is worth it. $50 for the hours of use you will get out of it, I think I might pick one up myself.
