will a tower help decrease with faceplants? I currently don't have a tower on my boat. Sometimes, my arms get away from me and since the rope is tied to the transom, I get pulled forward and have a nice face first fall?
Will a tower decrease this?
Thanks! |

| a tower will not help with faceplants. you just need practice.i think a tower just helps you get more hight when jumping. |

I actually don't need help with faceplants! I can take care of that all by myself.
I seem to get off balance sometimes and was hoping a tower would eliminate that. |

If a tower will get you more air, I think the quality of your faceplants would be better |

hey man just yesterday, I was cutting into the wake and was doing a lipslide. I have a tower and have not done a faceplant in the longest of time. But I proceded to give my face such a tremendous slap on the water that my sinuses that were acting up before, were cleared after. I did not even know what had happened until I was under the water and had done my 1 and a half flip inder there. I could hear everyone in the boat howling the entire way back to pick me up. So the tower doesn't make the faceplants stop, I think what is causing many of your face plants is your handle position. don't let it get away from you like that.
sorry, long post _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

nope won't help with that. Are you catching edge? or just falling foward? from what you said sound like maybe falling forward? just lean back and keep your arms bent. _________________ Some female cows have horns, but you wouldn't really know anything about that now would you? |

| could it be that you're looking down while your riding? at all times you should be looking in the direction you are going, if you look down, you will probably fall forward, ending in a face plant. |

A tower isn't going to help you at all in that department. You're just gonna need to keep at it and focus on your air awareness. Start off with real small jumps and just progressively go bigger and bigger. That will help you gain a sense of balance in the air. When you stand tall at the wake, you shouldnt be leaning forward at all. In fact, you should still be leaning back a little. _________________ Get Frugally Green!

You are right, I struggle with being to getting off balance. I either, hit the wake perfectly and get the good pop, lean to far forward and face plant, or lean to far back, and the front end of the board goes way in the air.
Thanks for the tipping of working to get bigger buy starting smaller! |

i thought a tower would solve my faceplants on w2w jumps, but i never got one. Now im able to go w2w without faceplants, and im getting nice hieght. You dont need a tower, but they do help. _________________ Wake4Life |
