So yesterday I nailed a few things down that I have been working on for a while. I finally landed a one-wake 180, and then I got froggy and tried an ollie 180 out in the flats and landed that too!! My wake-to-wakes are getting so that I am actually landing out in the flats... and I feel like I am 100ft in the air when I jump (Plenty of time to grab the board where ever I want). I am definitely feeling the pop and I am edging really hard!! I was thinking about working on one-wake 360 next, or maybe wake-to-wake 180. What was everyone else's trick progression at this point? I know that it is probably all different, but I was just wondering....

I am also working on everything that I am doing switch as well. But I am having a hard time going toe edge. To this point I can only jump w2w on my heel side. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I am feeling slow progression as well. I have only learned a double grab 180 in the whole Bubb Rubbing season. I blame my I/O... Damn I wish I have a wakeboat.

work on wake to wake ts fs 180 first they are easier and you will get the feel of turning your board. then go to hs fs 180 they are a little tricker landing on your toeside edge switch but youll get it. ts fs 3 are faster but if you dont get the same pop ts as hs i would suggest hs fs 3's w2w not one wake. hope that helps also try doing grab 180s in there, they are super stylish.

so can you go w2w ts? if not do that.

If you can i would go with both hs and ts 180's. learn them one wake, then w2w. Ts 180 is easier, because you land on the hs edge, which for most is easier.

wakeboarding was pretty slow progression last year but now everything is coming so easy. it took me two years to get a good backroll. now I learned a whirly within a month of riding, elephant in two tries, frontflip in like 6 tries, ts roll to revert(took a bit longer) but you will hit that point where everything just comes. today I just hit my first double up so I'm guessing that will help. I say get your driver to drive a double up, you get launched. hit the third roller.

yea i think i'm having one of those slow progression seasons right now but i have definitely gotten better...went from practically nothing to being almost there on tantrums, backrolls, and raleys...(not quite almost there on raleys haha) but i can get in the superman position lol...but for you i think i would suggest perfecting your ollie 180's and definitely do some power slides just because they're fun Very Happy

im at that same sort of stage, i can easily w2w into the flats heelside, and i can w2w toeside when i try hard enough, i can ollie 180 and one wake 180 easy, and for a while i had w2w 180s down. now i sort of hit a wall and need to start hitting those again, then hopefully land a 360 before the summer's over. i think the fact that i now understand a progressive edge will help a lot, i have been going as fast as i can as early as i can at the wake for a long time, so this should help.

I have 180s every direction except switch ts, but working on those. a backroll, a hs frontflip and a 360 (still not dialed those last two), progression has been really slow other than those two. Its all about getting the skills for something built up, and then the balls or even the idea in your head to try it. but as long as you have fun at the sport you will progress because you enjoy taking the sport further for yourself, and trying new things.

work on switch, don't let it get too far behind your normal stance that you ride because then you ave to vcome back and baby it back to a higher level.

good luck and have fun.

The best way to improve your progression is have your basics down. Like riding switch, carves and progressive edges. With this stuff you will progress alot faster.

yea i learned to ride, learned a couple 180's, then landed like 2 or 3 360's and then i went into inverts...i kinda missed a step on learning all the basics...i need to go back and do it so that my inverts are easier to learn but i'm SO close on them and i don't want to go back Neutral
