That must be a big lake
I don't think you'll see much of this as for most people put sliders in lakes and not oceans like I think you are talking about. _________________ Wakeboard/Waterski/Kneeboard/Ride Random Objects

| Yea 7 foot tides its on the hudson river in new york. Its crazy. Were lookin for a new dock set up but its hard becasue of the tides, so we were think putting poles in but then with the ice we get it would have to replace it every year. So anyone got any suggestions for a slider. I was just thinkin not to hit it at low tide or if i did it would be alot bigger. |

| I ride mostly in the Puget Sound (Western Wa, for those of you who are geographically challenged), and we have a tide swing of up to 15ft. Floating is the way to go. I don't have any plans at the moment, but I'm sure there are some floating around the internet (this website maybe) somewhere. |

Strap a couple 4 to 6 inche PVC pipes together. Fill them with STUFFIT (expanding foam) Slide a can in the PVC and shoot it with a pellet gun. Stand back and don't look at the end of the pipe when doing so, it will explode and fill the PVC with foam. Then put a couple bolts through the PVC (two at each end). Then get a couple cement blocks (4 total or whatever it takes to hold it in place while riding it). 4 ropes! Tie one rope on each bolt, then the cement block on the end. That way it keeps it from swaying. You now have 4 anchor points, and a floating slider.
BE CAREFUL WHEN SHOOTING THOSE EXPANDING FOAM CANS. Expect the worse and be even more cautious. It does work though. |
