It is harder for some people than it is others. Some are naturals and some need to apply a lot of effort. There are a ton of threads so if you want more info it will be easier and more worth it to search but I'll try an explain the basics. Just remember to let the boat pull you up. Don't get over anxious and stand up when you feel the boat pull because your board will sink and you'll get pulled over. Stay in a ball with your knees bent, arms straight and when the boat pulls you up turn your board slightly until you get going. Sit on the ground on your butt and have someone pull you up and its similar feeling.

that is an exact way of describing it.

just pull youre knees into youre chest and let the boat do the work, and once you feel like youre able to stand up, pretend somone is pulling you up by youre hands.

SKiing on one ski is harder to get up on than a wakeboard.

People that start out wakeboarding with dock starts have some nasty falls. I saw this one guy do a faceplant in the water and you could hear his face hit the water 1/4 mile away when the boat tried to pull him off of the dock. It was some funny stuff

Hey bteat88,

From what I recall of skiing, getting up on one ski was WAY harder than getting up on a board. Just go out and play with it and laugh alot - do what the others have suggested and it'll happen for you...

Trust me - as long as you do the stance people have stated, it's much easier getting up on a wakeboard. The boat does all the work and you just sit there. Also, I can wakeboard for a much longer time compared to water skiing. You are much more on top of the water, so there is much less pull from the rope(boat).
