You just need to try different lengths and see what you like best. I ride at 65' off of my Malibu and 60' off of my friends Tige because it's what works best for each.

varies a lot from boat to boat. Get the wake the way that you want it and then set the rope length accordingly. _________________ I once saw a fork lift pick up a pallet of forks, it was way too literal for me. |

She asked that somewhere else I'm pretty sure, and got an answer. _________________ Some female cows have horns, but you wouldn't really know anything about that now would you? |

| Actually he brings up a good question that many newbies may not know and I am glad you guys answered that. I normally board behind my personal boat and optimum line length for that has been 60' or 15 off for those still stuck in that 6 ball thing. But recently I skied behind a friends boat and started out at 60' and found quickly that I only had a 3 foot wide wake at that point. Great for easy W2Ws, but kind of sucks for wakeboarding in general. But switching to full line (75') put me back in what I call the sweet spot and I was happy again. Don't be afraid to feel out the wakes in an unfamiliar boat. I didn't make one lap on the dog bone to discover that 60' wasn't cutting it. |
