I want to put an automatic ballast system in my Tige 21i. I think MB and Mastercraft are using a pumpless system now. Anyone have ideas on how to do something similar to this? I saw the article on here but I want to do a thru-hull system.

Also Bag placement on an D-Drive. How do the bags on the side of the engine stay in place and not move around?

How about hooking some pumps up to the intake hose on your engine, just after the filter? That way you have no holes. Maybe set up two angled Y valves, one to force water into the pump, and one to create (and help) suction out of the pumps. Just an idea.

norcal, I made a ballast system for my 21V and it was simple. Drilling a hole for the scoop is scary but will work the best. You will fill faster and wont chance starving the engine.

the bags wont move around because they are so heavy when filled.
