| I'm just starting to get big air and my wake to wakes are almost consitent. Right now I just get towed by the back of the boat. Would a tower be better or would one of those metal poles (i don't know what there called) do the job? |

| towers are way cooler. The extended pylons suck, there in the way, and a pain in the ass to deal with. Plus you can hang your boards off the sides of the tower and evetually add a bumpin stereo system onto the tower. |

| If you can choose get a tower. If you can't get a tower then the pylon will have to work. Same purpose, except pylon is just more of a hassle. |

pylons are fine....just the same as raising the tower and putting a pin in. pylons u bucle the strap up and tighten it.....wakeboardertj, u can put a board rack on a pylon and use the speakers in the boat....u dont things on the towers....plus those speakers cost a fortune.... _________________ Visit www.myspace.com/alecperkins to listen to my music! |

A Tower will flex less than a pole especially when cutting away from the wake. If your just starting to go W2W a pole will be more than adequate, and a lot better than just being pulled by the ski hook. _________________ chris@wakeproducts.com |

suck it up, youth. The vets had to learn to do everything on a ski pole and a stretchy rope- You can go a few seasons without the luxury. Word. _________________ Crownsville Wakeboard Team |

Big Air makes the best pylon for a boat without one. You can hang speakers and rack on a pylon; I've done it. That being said, even that pylon gets in the way. A Monster Tower is $995. It holds the boat even steadier, and you have much more room. Buy a tower if you can swing it, but a Big Air pylon is $300 and will work great for a while _________________ PS- this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

| I agree with re re, if you can't get a tower, a extended pylon is basically just as good. Especiall with your w2w jumps, will help |

| a extended pylon is easily good enough. My boat has a tower and when I go behind a older ski nautique with a extended pylon there is no difference except for the wake of course. |

The tower is so much sweeter.. I rode behind a centurion today and I landed a fronflip first try (which I had never landed before with the old crappy pylon dealy..
(could have also been the larger wake) _________________ --- Dj Tiesto --- |

| Straight Edge, its obviously the wake. The first whirly I ever landed was behind like a 78' ski nautique with a pylon that shakes. |

yep all depends on how much u wanna spend, towers are in the thousand range and pylons are in the hundreds, but i have a tower on our cobalt 220 and its tight, definitely should go for a tower if u can get one _________________ J DuT |

| I called the local boat shop and the have a 10 foot pole for $1500 (uninstalled) and a tower for $2500 (uninstalled). They said it would be at least $500 extra to install. Are those resonable prices? |

wakeboardingkid77, no - those prices are horrible!!! Are you in Canada? Even so, it should be more like 750cdn ($400-500US) for the pylon and tower varies from somewhere around 1350-2500cdn ($1000-2000US). _________________

Towers and pylons work in the same manner. they allow lift. With a pylon your going to get more flex in the pole. Starting out your really not going to see a difference. After awhile though of getting good you'll probably want to go with a good tower. _________________ Im sick of seeing these posers with 50k boats who can't even wakeboard. |
